How affectionate are they? What about PDA?

Outis is very affectionate, especially so in public. Constantly showering you in gifts and complimenting you and opportunity she gets, always touching you in some form with the most common way being her having an arm wrapped around your shoulder or waist.

She doesn’t kiss you often and never in public. You might get kisses on your cheek now and then but that’s mostly it as Outis prefers to save kisses for more intimate moments… or when she’s showing you off. That said, you are free to kiss her as much as you want. It feeds her ego — especially if it’s in public — so she could never deny a kiss from you.

What do they think of nicknames? Do they have any for you?

Outis is fond of nicknames and pet names alike, calling you all sorts of corny things like sweet cheeks, cupcake, sugar, main squeeze… though her favourites are kitten and puppy. Princess is the only one that’s off limits as it’s reserved for her darling daughter, together with any nickname that Outis refers to Ishmael with.

If you have nicknames for her, Outis will happily accept them even if it’s something that you came up with to ridicule or mock her— to a degree, at least, but there’s a high chance she’ll wave off most of your insults with a laugh.

That said, she does prefer it when you use masculine terms to refer to her. Daddy being her favourite.

Does their behaviour change in any way?

The only notable change that occurs is how Outis treats you.

Before getting into a relationship with her, she doesn’t care much for what you do with yourself. There’s not that much of a change after getting into a relationship with her either, but Outis does try to take care of you to some degree and make sure you’re healthy. Admittedly she does put the bare minimum amount of effort into doing so, but it shows that she does care about you to some degree.

Do they get jealous? How do they handle it?

Outis doesn’t get jealous. Sure, the people who try their shot with you or talk to you without getting permission from her will end up in the Book of Vengence, but she doesn’t get jealous because she doesn’t feel like her relationship with you is under any threat. And for those people, she’s merely punishing them for their audacity; for the false belief that you’d pay any attention to them in the first place.

It’s a whole different thing if you cheat on her. Then it’s complete and total extermination for you, your affair partner, the families and friends of you two.

What about dates? How romantic are they?

While the dates Outis takes you out on are mostly fancy dinners and movie nights, as well as anything that she thinks is fun or strokes her ego, there will still be times when she takes you out on dates that are more suited for your taste.

As for how romantic she is, she is anything but. She doesn’t see a point in romantic gestures, at most she will make a move here and there to tease you but that’s it.

How are they with domestic tasks?

Despite what one might think, Outis is surprisingly good at domestic tasks. She doesn’t bother with them much herself anymore — she can get other people to do that for her now — but if it came down to it, she could clean up and take care of her Corridor with ease. She used to be a little sibling, after all. A rather diligent one at that, so it would be odd if she didn’t know how to take care of her own place.

Rarely, only if you’re lucky, you can catch her making Ishmael something healthy to eat. However, most of the time, meal preparation — as with every other chore — will be left to others to handle.

How do they handle fights?

Outis doesn’t take you or your problems with her or show she does things seriously. She’ll try to pacify you without ever apologizing, bringing you gifts — particularly stuff that you’d like — to make you forget about your anger and move on from what happened like nothing happened. If nothing works, then she’ll be puzzled on why you’re still upset. She’ll likely wait out the problem while still buying you tons of gifts to get you to forgive her.

Upsetting Outis enough for her to start a fight is difficult. The only way to do so would be by betraying her trust or taking something important away from her, but at that point it’s less a fight between couples and more an actual fight where she won’t hesitate to kill you.

Not too safe and comforted, though. That’ll simply lead to you getting killed, so you should always be on alert when you’re on the job. If not, then Outis would certainly have to discipline you for it. You shouldn’t cause any problems for her or the executive manager.

The fact that you really, truly feel safe and comforted by her settles in slowly, over the course of months. It’s still a stroke to her ego that someone would trust her that much, but it’s also uncomfortable for her due to implications that it comes with.

Seeing her family again is why she agreed to join Limbus Company and become a sinner. She won’t hesitate to betray them for the sake of her family— though she would want to avoid it if possible, as making enemies left and right isn’t a smart idea in the slightest. She’s not above using you, either. In fact, she likely already was using you to some degree if she noticed how attached you were to her; how obedient you were and how easily you followed her lead like a good little soldier. Like a dog, even.

It’s unfortunate for her then that she finds herself getting attached the more time she spends with you. She tries play it off, tries to distance herself from you. It’s not like she can just bring you back with her when she reunites with her family, is it? And she’s certainly unwilling to ditch them to stay with you, who she’s barely known for a year.

But the thought of leaving you when her contract ends fills Outis with dread. What would you do without her? As much as she ignores and dismisses them, she’s seen the signs. From the way you try to keep everyone aside from her at a distance to the way all you’ve been doing since you’ve become a sinner was going through the motions. Sometimes you keep her at a distance, too.

It worries her greatly, but that worry is not something that she can spare to anyone who isn’t her family. It doesn’t stop her from looking out for you whenever she gets the opportunity, though. She won’t comfort you outright, she wouldn’t be able to keep justifying her actions as something else instead of care for you then, but she’ll do her best in other, small ways.

Have you been feeling worse than usual for whatever reason? She’ll get you treats, excusing it as something to increase morale and saying how Vergilius does the same thing, eventhough you’re the only one that she gets treats.

Is someone bothering or harassing you? She’ll tell them off, scolding them extensively for bringing down the morale of the group when she couldn’t have cared less if the harassment happened to anyone else.

You’re struggling to sleep for one reason or another? She doesn’t mind keeping guard nearby to ensure that you can rest well, or even cuddling you depending on how bad your insomnia is and how helpful cuddling might be. So long as it’s something that must stay between you both.

That said, she can’t care for you like this forever. If the situation comes down to it, then she’ll choose her family over you in a heartbeat. As much as she feels responsible for you, at the end of the day, you are not her responsibility, but Dante’s.

But for now, she can continue to pretend like there’s nothing special between the two of you and that whatever relationship you have with her doesn’t mean anything.

Behind her was a headstone that she was all too familiar with.

Outis tried not to think about it. She took a swing from one of the bottles that she brought with her to keep her thoughts at bay. It worked to some extent, but her thoughts would come creeping back before long.

She never understood it.

Why you died. She didn’t understand. Or why she cared. The two of you weren’t particularly close, and yet…

Outis took another swing from her bottle before she could linger on the thought for long.

She shouldn’t be here. She shouldn’t have even come here. Doing so was a mistake. Why did she even decide to come here when she knew that she didn’t have any right to be here.

She pushed herself off the ground and stumbled onto her feet. It was about time Outis should get back to her coworkers lest they chew her ear off, something that she did not want as she could already feel a headache forming.

With one last glance to your grave, Outis left the cemetery.
