Details of the roof of Sainte-Chapelle in Paris. My husband took this photo and I love the layering of different figurines and ornate decorations in it. Don’t the gargoyles look really scary? And isn’t it amazing how detailed the statues in the background to the left are carved? The contrast between the inner and outer appearance of the chapel couldn’t be more stark (see my photo of the stained glass windows a couple of posts ago and also watch the highlight about Sainte-Chapelle to compare for yourself). I find the inside and outside of this chapel equally fascinating! On a completely different note, I am going through an Instagramer nightmare right now. I am sitting on a beautiful pile of photos from France on my laptop and can’t load them up to my iPhone, because my laptop crashes the moment I try to do that. I am by no means a computer expert but to me it looks like it has a bug. Until I get home and my husband can hopefully fix the problem for me I need to use the very few photos that are on my iPhone.
