name natalie “nat” chandler age twenty one hometown seattle, wa occupation student studying design for sustainability + barista  pogue or kook? technically a tourist! pogue vibes tho tw: drug abuse, alcoholism, foster care, death, incarceration background natalie grew up outside of the outer banks. actually, far outside outer banks. across the country from outer banks in seattle, wa. although she spent her very early years with her parents in washington, this didn’t last long. growing up in a household of alcoholism, drug use, and unstable incomes, she was eventually placed in the foster care system. she overheard her mom ended up in jail. she knows nothing about her dad anymore. after years in foster care, she was connected with her aunt. she doesn’t really remember how it happened, maybe the stress hit too hard or her brain couldn’t truly comprehend it, but at ten she moved in permanently with her new legal guardian. natalie grew really close with her aunt. she took care of her in a way that natalie was really unfamiliar with. at eighteen, her aunt passed away leaving the rest of her belongings, estate, etc. in natalie’s name. it was given with one request: to travel to the outer banks each summer and meet her grandmother. so natalie did. after selling the estate and anything excess she had enough money (not kook-level, but sustainable for her to have some time to figure out what she needed to do next and some to save for future education). natalie began to rent an apartment and start community college classes. in the summers, she stayed with her grandmother and worked on the side. she got to know a lot of pogues and kooks. her grandmother was a kook. natalie was essentially a pogue disguised by a guest house. she never quite fit a description: kook? definitely not. pogue? not quite. tourist? sure.  personality ❀ bright: not just big brains, but exuding light!! she may be likely to hesitate at good relationships, but she is so hopeful for the world and strives to find joy everywhere ❀ quick-witted: in order to not let the weight of all the serious get to her, sometimes she needs to make things actively less serious. even if its subconscious. she a smart cookie ❀ childish: natalie isn’t childish in the sense of immaturity, but in a relentless fear of uncertainty. her mind balances the uncertainty to be either exhilarating or horrific. she struggles immensely with romantic relationships, and even platonic. she isn’t used to people staying around. she resists good things. all for good things happening to other people but her? sounds fake  ❀ passive: natalie is vocal and assertive and advocates for herself and certainty injustices- but she chooses these things carefully. sometimes, she can’t give things the time of day. maybe she ran out of energy for daily annoyances or is unfazed by mess. probably both.  headcannons ❀ finishing gen ed credits to hopefully transfer to a college that specializes in design for sustainability and minoring in business management ❀ wants to open some form of sustainable restaurant or cafe. support/sell local artists work. and save the world ok  ❀ you will find her painting on the beach, paddle-boarding, and sleeping under the stars ❀ queen of eye rolls and big sighs but also eye smiles and big hugs ❀ ignoring her pain and trauma!!!!!!!!!!!

hey guuyyyyys, this is Bennett! I’m going to be working on something more detailed but this is like the rough draft so, enjoy and lmk if you wanna plot!! ~

So~ for Bennett, he’s an up and coming musician who has been heavily influenced by Hozier, John Mayer, lovely the band, and those types of indie/indie pop artists. He has a pretty large social media following and is verified on most accounts. He started on Youtube and has worked his way to doing small acoustic performances but has yet to be signed by a label. He’s a tourist but after staying in OBX for a summer, decided to make it his home base. Before that, he traveled around and played open mics and small, local festivals. Now with OBX being his permanent residence, he plays around town in the bars and wherever he can, really.

He’s a really happy guy who always sees the glass half full, which is why he is oblivious. The world could be ending around him and he wouldn’t think anything bad was happening. Sometimes this can really be a disadvantage because when he does realize something is serious, it really puts a damper on his mood. His sarcastic side is really just a defense mechanism. He’s a really talented musician but if he gets any sort of negative critique, he takes it to heart but on the outside he just deflects with a sarcastic comment.
