So I was nearly outed the other night...

So I'm sitting between a friend and my mum, and the topic comes around of sexuality. I mentioned that I didn't like saying heterosexuals are "straight" because that implies that other sexualities are "bent" (insinuating that they are broken.) So my friend (who I've only met recently) turns around to me and says: Are you heterosexual? Considering I'm not out to my mum this made my face drop and I completely froze up. I started sweating and then swiftly moved the conversation on. I really hope the wine my mother consumed that night made her forget that moment...
