Sometimes Lucas had to wonder how someone could lose their Explorer Kit. Sure, he knew that it was possible, but why not just keep it in your backpack as you dig through? He was tempted to ask, but then figured it might not be a good time.

[text:] Trust me, people can figure it out. You’d be surprised how people can tell, and you’re not the only person down here. Someone might see.

“Well...”

He was willing to ignore being called ‘child of time’ so he could focus on the question. That was always a tough question to answer. Growing up he never found a way to properly answer the question, especially after his fourteenth birthday. 

The obvious answer would be that he’d want to be sure his mother was alive, but...even then, the words wouldn’t come out.

Was it because he was already changing how things turned out? From the day he got that scar, was he changing things just by existing? What could that say about him?

Did Dialga plan all that, or was it all just some cosmic accident?
