Quickly adjusting his choice of words, he knew Cordelia. She was no damsel that was for sure, but still he would always worry about those closest to him and this demon tonight had definitely been stronger than any they had ever faced before. “What I mean is, I don’t want you getting hurt.” The tone and look upon his face now genuine in it’s sincerity.

funnily enough, lily doesn’t know if steady footing will ever be missed, if she ever had it at all. perhaps it’s the anarchist in her – started when she pulled her sister’s hair and ended up getting a right telling off for it at age five – or perhaps it’s the pent-up anger directed at the people who hate her merely for existing, but she stands her ground. “you’ll only end up hurting your child. that’s what happens when you clutch something that tightly.”

          Despite all that Andromeda had lost, all the heartache she went through when she was young, she wouldn’t change any of the decisions she had made. Her choices had lead her to her husband, and her daughter, to a life she was proud of. But she would always miss her sisters, especially Narcissa. Little Cissy, who’s golden hair she used to braid, and who she tried to protect from their families rage. To hear her say this now caused a painful clench in her chest. An old wound that never fully healed.  “Would anything really change?”

       Why did Dawn have to come to her about these things? She couldn’t have gone to Willow or maybe even Buffy? She sighs, still trying to find the right words but coming up empty. “Why don’t you just--- I mean,” another sigh, “there’s... videos you could watch, if you’re that curious on how it w-works.”

     Buffy couldn’t believe how big her little sister was getting. Eighteen years old and going on dates. It was something she never thought she would have to see without their mother around... without mom. Ever since she passed, she had to step up and though it was a little touch and go in the beginning, it got better. Their relationship was better and it couldn’t make the slayer any happier. Dawn was all she had left for family, for blood, in this world and she was going to make sure nothing ever happened to her. “I really don’t think you should be wearing that on a first date, Dawn,” Buffy honestly told her. “Here, why don’t you where something a little more...” she gets up, taking out a trench coat from her closet and hovers it front of her body, “cozy?”
