When I first read the synopsis for this book I was like I dunno this sounds kind of weird but then I thought has VE Schwab written anything I didn’t like...no...so I gave it a go. And boy oh boy was I missing out!!! The entire world and storyline is such a cool premise plus the characters felt so real (it’s Schwab what else would you expect?)!! I am currently reading Our Dark Duet and am loving it! What a fantastic duology! I am really enjoying the concept of the monsters and while I’ve never liked Romeo and Juliet (or any Shakespeare for that matter), I am still loving the story! Tonight I'll spend some time with Kate and August! I don't love this duology as much as Shades of Magic but the monsters are pretty intriguing. I'm finally having some well earned vacation days.
