I was listening to Talk by Hoizer on my way to work this morning, and the lyrics really stood out to me because I thought of season 5A of OUAT. Let me explain:
In the song it talks about Orpheus and Eurydice, and how they are this great love story in Greek mythology.
Now, in season 5A Emma makes her way down to the underworld to save Killian. Emma is Orpheus in this storyline and with Killian being Eurydice. It follows the storyline pretty closely, but it is OUAT, so things are never like the original telling. What they do have in common is they have to return to the land of the living without their true love, much like Orpheus and Eurydice (I haven't brushed up on my Greek mythology in a while, so I could be wrong that they never see each other again)
I just thought it was cool that OUAT kind of sneaked that comparison in if you looked closely enough, and I love the gender twist.
I'm not sure if you've already seen this or posted about it, but I have an add on to your post about the Captain Swan True Love Test. When Emma was faced with either saving her physical heart or Killian, Emma saves Killian. But when Killian was caught in the fire, he tells Emma to get her heart and save herself instead of saving him. Both of them put each other's life over their own, and that's what true love is. This test wasn't just for Emma; it tested Killian as well. And they both passed.
Oh my god you’re right!! I didn’t put that together until you mentioned that. That’s such a great catch! Thank you so much for pointing that out. That does make more sense for them to both pass the test
Here is the post that I made that they are referring to

So I’m watching season 5 (again) of OUAT (because Colin’s hair and I love dark hook) anyways, towards the end of the first episode when they’ve all returned from Camelot and dark swan shows up, remember? My poor baby pirate-prince looks so distraught because Emma has fully embraced the darkness and he promised her in Camelot that they would defeat the darkness together. BECAUSE HE THINKS HE LET HER DOWN. He told her back in a previous season that he doesn’t intend to let her down, and he thinks that’s exactly what he did. He believes that he broke two of his promises to her and you can see his heart is just breaking. Emma is one of the most important people in his life and he cannot stand that he (thinks) did what he always told her he wouldn’t do. Thoughts?

Regina just took Emma's place as the savior :(
It irritates me that Zelena is much nicer than Regina in comparison.
Once Upon A Time has promised to kill off a main character. But WHO?!
