Welcome to the first “Once Upon a Time… Everlark” challenge.

If you want to participate is very easy!

1. Submit a prompt, in our ask “ Submit OUAT prompt” We’ll be open for prompt submissions from April 11th to May 1st)

Prompts and Fics must feature Everlark as a pairing and must based on a book, TV show, movie or myth and they can be canon compliant, canon divergent, or any kind of AU.

2. Choose a prompt from the list and tell us about it.

- Chosen prompts will be removed from the list so that there will only be one fic/artwork per prompt.

- You can choose as many prompts as you want. The only requisite is to post in the timeframe we allow.

3. Write your fic or create your artwork. Fics can be as short as 500 words or as long as you like. They can be one-shots, out-takes from any one of your fics or multi chapter. The work must cover the details provided in the prompt.

4. Submit your finished fic or artwork in our “Submit your OUATE fic”Finished works will be posted from May 1st to May 31st.

NOTE: You can send a prompt and not write a fic, and you can write a fic without submitting a prompt.

“However, Peeta,” my father begins, and I don’t like the tone of his voice. “Once you receive your Assignment, your life will begin to change. You will still attend your daily academic classes, but they will take a backseat to the training geared toward your Assignment. You will not spend as much time with your academic classmates, but you will make new friends. Friends who share the same interests as you.”

“Wait a minute. Are you saying that Katniss and I will no longer be friends?”

“It is possible.” Mother nods.

I simply smile and return her nod. Katniss and I will always be friends. Always, I think silently to myself.

LIFE SUPPORT

“Who is up tonight?” I ask him trembling. The drugs, though swift, can cause some freaky side effects. I have the shakes, my limbs disobedient as I try to still them. Peeta watches me carefully and I give him a weak smile. “‘Oh true apothecary! Thy drugs are quick’.”

He takes my hands to steady them. “I didn’t know you were into Shakespeare.”

“What girl isn’t into a story about Star-Crossed Lovers?” I respond as I look down at our joined hands.

Meeting his glowing blues, I can’t help but think that in another life, we would’ve been good together. We would live in some country house with a large meadow and just spend our days watching our children running around it. Our first born would have his eyes and our second would have Peeta’s blond locks.

“‘Thus with a kiss I die’,” he whispers under his breath, his smile shy. “Guys can be into Romeo and Juliet, too.”
