the louis-centric fic of my dreams centering around when zayn quit the band, tbh. he lost eleanor and zayn back to back, and then went through what mustāve been this weird, awful thing with harry where they had the loss of zayn in common and shared a joke about it and couldāve maybe resurrected their friendship on the basis of AGGRESSIVELY NOT CARING, but that maybe itād been too long, or there didnāt seem to be a point with the bandās hiatus looming. itād be a fic abt the way those losses hurt in different, particular ways and how everything turned inside out all at once and louis was to be a dad on top of everything else. thereās that line in the song aboutĀ Hurt the ones you love the most easily, and how louis was both so loved (past tense) and so hurt (present tense) and grappling with how to be left and yet never leave.Ā

That is also so true! How else are they supposed to explore their inner secrets but with being naked? Itās where it makes sense between them, when all their layers are stripped bare and itās just skin on skin. Itās after that it gets complicated, when they put their layers back on and hide those secrets. What are you supposed to do with someone when you know their inner secrets but not their outer ones? What but be frustrated with the layers that they have to put on, the ones you donāt know and push you away?Ā
