I recently embarked on a creative journey, channeling my admiration for the timeless elegance of Frasier Crane's iconic apartment into a series of paintings that pay homage and celebrate the classic styling of the beloved show. With the anticipation of the new Frasier show premiering, it felt like the perfect moment to revisit and honor this interior masterpiece.

Drawing inspiration from the ever-present Otterson painting that graced the background of numerous Frasier scenes, I decided to delve into the world of abstract modernist art, reminiscent of the 1930s to 1950s. These paintings are not just a tribute to the impeccable taste of the Crane brothers but also a nod to the aesthetics of a bygone era, where modernism and abstract art were at the forefront of artistic expression.

My primary influence for this series was the renowned artist John "Jack" Otterson, whose work exemplified the artistic style of his time. Otterson, born in 1909, was a prominent figure in the world of modernist art. His paintings were characterized by bold geometric shapes, vibrant colors, and a unique blend of abstraction and precision. His influence can be seen in many works of art from the same period.

During the 1930s to 1950s, modernist art was a revolutionary movement, reflecting the cultural and artistic upheaval of the time. In creating my series of paintings, I employed a combination of traditional and modern techniques. To achieve the correct texture and authenticity of the era, I also incorporated AI to mimic the tactile qualities of paint used in that time. This final step allowed me to recreate the precise brushstrokes, giving my artwork an authentic vintage touch.
