on one hand im in love bc i went to a ballet literally sunday but on the other im disappointed shes not, you know, en pointe properly? ;3; shes dancing tiptoe but not in a ballet stance.

I’m also.... kind of going to nitpick, but....

As an ex-ballet dancer, she’s not hitting her lines properly. Her third position (which should probably be fifth, really), isn’t tight enough. Her hands and arms don’t... extend properly? Like there should be more extension, more weight in her fingers and more flow as she does that arabesque. Dancer lines need to really flow and she’s a little wooden. 

You could argue this is just because she lacks a lot of emotion and passion in her moves (except for the sorrow when her eyes are closed at the end), but it’s one thing that bothers me when they get actors to pretend to be ballet dancers in movies. Their hands are never dynamic enough. Ballet dancer arms and legs and body should move as if in a wave, effortlessly, beautifully, flowingly? I have not no, but my childhood was full of stories about the fae and things that go bump in the night. Most of them were local myths, but I also grew up reading old almanacs and encyclopedias of folklore and mythology in the local library. My dad pretty much just took me there every day and I’d spend hours going through everything and anything and getting him to take books out for me because a kids card could only take out 3 books and I wanted more than that. I remember being pissed they wouldn’t let you take the reference books home. There was so much in them.

Scottish Folk Tales by Ruth Manning-Sanders sticks out vividly in my mind. There was a sea monster on the front and all the pages were dog eared and the spine and cover was cracked so it looked like he had scales you could touch.

Skellig by David Almond was the first thing I read in school that could have been considered magical/cryptid. And then there was Melvin Burges’ Burning Izzy where the little witch girl learns to see the spirits in the garden.

how can male sims not read the pregnancy books? I dont have any mods but i know my father sims often have the "read pregnancy book" wish when they want to have children. That's odd.

I’ve delved back into the game, and none of my male characters can read any books to do with pregnancy, so I am going to assume this mod has done something funky that I do not approve of so I’m on the hunt for a new one.
