i see you in the stars by PixieLIA
“You know, Hevelius only created Lynx as a constellation because you have to have the eyes of a tiger to spot it, not because it looks like anything feline. It got mistranslated between Polish and English, people started calling it Lynx instead of Tigris in official journals.”
Otabek pauses and wonders if Yuri’s listening, or if he cares. Otabek doesn’t know if he even cares. He continues anyway.
“The brighter one next to it, that’s the tip of Ursa Major, the Great Bear. I think they ended up backwards, you’d think the tiger would be defined and strong always with the bear hibernating the winter away. But it’s not, Lynx fades in and out of view all the time.”
Or, sometimes all it takes to be true to yourself is to be true to someone else.
Four in Your Cupboard, One in Your Bed by Lee Bright Rose
Yuri Plisetsky is a little shit and won't get out of bed when Otabek is trying to ask the most important question of his life. Luckily Otabek is not so easily discouraged.
All is Fair in Love and War by babybirdi
Yuri Plisetsky is fourteen and a top student attending Yakov's Academy for the Gifted in Leningrad (modern day Saint Petersburg) when the war arrives. His mentor and idol, an officer for the Soviet Union and graduate of Yakov's Academy, Victor Nikiforov, appears in the early hours of the morning to whisk Yuri out of Leningrad to safety, accompanied by Yuri's fellow student, Mila.
All does not go as planned. Mila and Yuri are separated on their journey, and Yuri finds himself alone in a foreign country for two and a half years, trying to make his way home to his Grandfather in Moscow all the while. Unbeknownst to Yuri, Yakov and a group of Soviet Officials are searching for him with the intent of dragging him right back into the center of the war. Except Yuri does not want to go.
What Yuri needs is a hero. What he doesn't expect is the one he gets.

It’s hard to look cool when you’re having sex.
Better For It by @nuttinonice
After a car accident in Kazakhstan, Otabek's the only family left for his little sister, Mara. Taking her in should be an easy yes, but for 23 year old Yuri, being a pseudo-parent, or being anything other than just a skater and a boyfriend had never crossed his mind. There has to be a way to make things work. Stay on the ice and take care of a toddler, take care of Otabek, make enough money to feed the three of them. He at least has to try.
" Otabek was going to adopt a kid? That was something permanent. He felt like a horrible person for not immediately jumping to support that, but Mara was only, what? Four? Maybe five? Of course Otabek should take her in, but what did that mean for Yuri? He was only twenty-three and they both had careers. Their relationship couldn’t possibly be ready for something like that. He didn’t know what to say. "
Who Gives a Puck? by @ashthe7th
Yuri wonders when things between him and Otabek changed. Okay, so having drunken sex that one night might have been a big hint. But sex – drunken or sober – isn't Yuri's thing. Isn't, wasn't? Fuck.
While Otabek's matchmaking mom makes everything more difficult, Yuri tries his hardest to be a supportive best friend and not ruin every-fucking-thing, except he secretly wants to. Otabek's friends are the absolute worst at helping, but also might just have the best ideas.
Yeah, and on top of that, he's somehow become a meme??
