- he's about 38 years old currently, just a tiny bit younger than L (who I see as being about 40)

- his dad died when he was a kid and he had an emotionally distant mom who was a former actress. His dad was Japanese-American (Hoennian-Unovan if we're going by in-universe terms) and his mom is French + Afro-Iranian.

- he really, REALLY loves old science fiction movies and has a big appreciation for foreign film

- however his all-time absolute favourite science fiction franchise is Pory-Man (known as Cyber-Man in the Kalosian dub), a tokusatsu style children's anime about a human man who ended up being fused with a porygon and now fights to save the digital world. Otanes is deeply embarrassed about this.

- he also loves collecting vinyls. The more experimental and weird (and old) the song is the better. Definitely would be a big fan of Yann Tomita, YMO, Dip in the Pool, and similar groups.

- went to college for archaeological science. He had a (now deceased) family friend who was a "nuclear" (infinity energy) physicist, who also had an intense interest in the history of ancient Kalos. When they died, Otanes would end up inheriting their collection of books on the topic, including a few rare volumes

- He struggled a lot with making friends growing up, so he would become latched onto the few he had in a way that was a little concerning... This will cause issues later on. 🙂‍↕️

- As a member of Team Flare, Otanes helped with the social media side of things, writing easily digestible articles on complicated archaeological topics. When Team Flare hollowed out an ancient dolmen near Geosenge Town and secretly began construction on a base within it, Otanes wrote articles about Lysandre Corp's research on the grave-goods that were originally inside the Dolmen, to quell suspicions about how Long the process was taking. And on occasion, Otanes would attend important social events in Lysandre's place. Never any of the actually important ones though, definitely not that, just the ones Lys couldn't care less about.

- Malva is xyr cousin on xyr maternal side. They do not like each other.

- He and L/ysandre first met when they were both children, though L doesn't remember this ...

- "Otanes" is actually his middle name. When his mom moved with him to Kalos, she started using her maiden name in an attempt to hide her identity (her husband's death also resulted in a huge P.R. disaster that she was affected by despite being otherwise involved), and started using Ota's middle name to further separate them both from what happened in Unova.

Mi colaboración en Lardín el fanzine sin fin: Pues va un día el Pepe Boada y me dice que ha escrito un cuento para el proyecto Lardín y que si se lo quiero ilustrar, hombreeeee pues claro que si. El cuento de Pepe es muy bueno, hay que bucear en la historia para encontrar los ecos de este relato, a cuyos protagonistas ya menciona de pasada Herodoto, Pepe lo hace tan bien que su cuento podría figurar en cualquier compendio de paradoxografos griegos, en los hechos extraordinarios de Solino, en las noches áticas de Aulio Gelio o en las vidas imaginarias de Marcel Schwob. Para leerlo y disfrutarlo tendrán ustedes que conseguirse un ejemplar del Lardín, cuando hablamos de la ilustración Pepe me pidió el diseño de un trono o de una silla, que fuese limpio como en el catalogo de IKEA y esa información se quedó en mi cerebro, aprovecho la ocasión para añadir un detalle a la imagen, no pude evitarlo.
