He basically became besties with the person, sharing more info that he has shared with most of the other students(who he has known for months atp) which I honestly think is very interesting for his character.

Once a stronger, older, person shows up to teach them and protect them(security wise at least, not from the horrors :D), Scott immediately showed a different side to himself; one he had likely needed to suppress as a main pillar and future mayor of Tegrith.

He was clearly very curious about Osteon, having less trouble trusting the new person because he is a dragon rider, just like the rest of them!

He freely answered questions that he's been asked by others and vaguely denied or ignored.

Also, after finding out about Osteon's wither magic, Scott immediately asked them to, quite literally, "hit me!"

I have a feeling that the prospect of someone showing up, being incredibly strong and experienced and able to protect the people that Scott loves, has nearly endeared Osteon to him.

Scott is also, from what I've seen, one of the physically strongest players. His magic is definitely one of the most versatile, and many people rely on him for various things or information.

Remember, Scott is only 23. He had to grow up very quickly in order to help his parents and the other villagers in Tegrith his whole life, almost completely on his own after Pyro left at 15.

The fact that there is now someone who could take some of that residual pressure off of him?

I'm so normal about them. I don't really care at all that they exist.

Hellooooo welcome back... Another little ask archive, this time for Walrinian and Osteon info. I was gonna do a post for asks about any and all species in the show so far, but these two have much more questions asked about them than any other ones, so if you're looking for info on like Tyneen's species or Killix's species or something check out the character asks! (This post is still going to be much shorter than my previous ones though, lol)

Walrinians

- Walrinians are based off of walruses. (source)

As a bonus, I went through all the episodes so far to see if I could find more examples of each character's species. Interestingly, though I could find at least one more example of most main/secondary characters species from background characters (excluding Shrike, Disco Head, and Agent K obv), Beebs and Ajax are the only Walrinians we've seen so far.

Osteons

- Osteons are skeletons. (source)

- When asked “how would an Osteon get injured if they're only bone:” “Their flame could completely go out.” (source)

- Osteon’s eat “to fuel their inner soul flame every now and then.” (source)

- Osteons can dye the colour of their soul flame. (source)

- Osteons can style their flame with a special gel. (source)

- Instead of showering, Osteons “bleach themselves under the light of a star.” (source)

I think out of each main/secondary character's species, we've seen the most Osteons so far? (I mean, excluding Lythops I guess, but... y'know....) I wonder if there's an in-universe reason for this? Maybe it's by technicality, since Jaw Bone's gang HAS to be skeletons. Idk ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
