ââ 彟ă芹ăăžă ďź Â Â Â Â ă growing up, eiji always tried to be considered a âgoodâ kid. one who didnât get into trouble often, one who was always on time to everything. what one would call an overachiever. but now, getting into trouble is something that eiji⌠enjoys, if anything. the thrill of it all, the adrenaline that comes from it. the high of it all was just something heâs grown to love, and he constantly craves more of it. being a country boy for almost his entire life, itâs hard not to want more. itâs hard not to want new experiencesâ every experience he had missed out on. so many people he knows had either grown up in a big city here in south korea, or in another country. so he wanted more. he always wants more.
the night sky is clear with the stars shining brightly and a grew clouds lingering around, framing the moon so perfectly. the breeze is cool and feels good against his skin, despite the fact that itâs a typical hot summer night with humidity hanging in the air. usually, by this time, heâs already fast asleep at the crisp hour of three in the morning. thereâs still some night life lingering around the streets, but as of now most places are closed, except for maybe a few bars and fast food joints.
none of them really catch eijiâs eyes, instead heâs focused on finding something better, maybe something slightly illegal. maybe. heâs not alone thoughâ shixun is trailing close behind. he doesnât know the guy very well, but well enough that he can find himself enjoying his company this late at night. both of them being bored lead to the two of them out at night, looking for something to do, and eiji is determined to find something.
thatâs when he comes to a halting stop as they come across an arcade thatâs already closed for the night, the door locked and all the games are shut offâ but oh, itâs tempting. he glances back at shixun, gesturing to the building in question with a grin.
                         âweâre going to get caught!â
all eiji wants to say is who cares? but he refrains and instead shakes his head, already starting towards it. âcâmon, just for a few minutes. twenty minutes at mostâ you can pick locks, right? maybe thereâs no alarm. itâll be fun!â
[ â ] : Â Â there were a couple of things that shixun had in common with the taller male. eiji gave off the same vibe that irritated him most; the obedience, the good side to the world, the wanting to show a good impression to the society around him. it was something that shixun had grown to do, to the point where being the good kid was something he had to do, as if it was his main job. although with the night still vacant and the cityâs people were mainly asleep, the mischievous twinkle in eijiâs eyes as they both of them stood in front of the closed arcade room; this wasnât the type of fun shixun had in mind.
[ â ] :   although friends who occasionally hang out, shixun kept his occupation and identity a secret. he wanted a normal friendship for once, where it wasnât about money, and it wasnât about business. to eiji, he was just shixun; just a name with no background, who spent majority of his time roaming the streets, in which theyâve met upon. it wouldâve cut out the fun and suspense if the taller knew that shixun had the power to easily take over the arcade room with a single snap, therefore the words of, âweâre going to get caught!â pulls an alibi to make himself seem innocent to the point where he acted as if he was apart of the lower class.
[ â ] :   at the mention of shixun knowing to pick locks, it was the truth. he had done it a few times when he was younger, with the way technology is uprising, his time from picking locks was over, and hacking systems became anew. shoving his hands into his pockets he pulls out a spray bottle, using his other freehand to pull his hoodie over his face. âgive me a moment.â he says softly, eyes shifting in different directions. head tilting upwards, he huffs at the sight of a camera placed on the near top, above the entrance. â you wouldâve been caught without me,â shaking the bottle, he aims at the lens, blacking out the whole screen. coughing at the fumes, he gives a thumbs up. âalright, weâre all set to go.â
[ â ] :   crouching down in front of the door, he drops the handy items he needed to unlock the simple chain. to bobby pins, to paper clips to various keys that couldâve work if he had the best chance. unwinding the paper clip, he holds the lock in place and attempts to work. it doesnât take him too long for shixun to take apart the chains, kicking open the door wide open. âand there you have it, around of applause.â he smiles brightly before reaching over to grab eijiâs wrist, pulling him inside of the arcade building, quickly closing the door shut, not wanting to leave open evidence.
[ â ] :   stretching out his arms he turns his head around the room with a wide smile. âi donât remember the last time iâve been in an arcade room. itâs been so long!â he laughs, placing himself in one of the racing chairs, hands gripping onto the steering wheel. âwhich games you want to try first? i really miss the dance dance revolution games, shooting games.. should i just say i miss all of them?â
âWouldnât it be cool to name a star after yourself?â
random sentence starters â currently accepting !
she has no idea how the hell their conversation drew to such a meaningless topic; inside she almost dared to burst out into laughter over how stupid his question was. nonetheless, to be able to waste her time even talking about anything other than her studies and work was rare in itself, and something inside of her hurt to talk about those other matters-- maybe because she never had someone to talk to about the little things.    â  i think itâs meaningless. there are     so many other goddamn stars out     there, and i know that it means just     absolutely nothing to name one. â
âI like the stars. Itâs the illusion of permanence, I think. I can pretend that lives last longer than moments.â
âTHE SANDMANâ SENTENCE STARTERS - sorry, closed !Â
his pondering lingers for a stretch of a moment, oh sehun is struck by words decorated in a manâs vulnerability and connotations of a pretty forever (thou unattainable, he knows). how does that make this oh sehun feel? Â
-- well to answer such a question, it gives his chest a distinct, resonating pound, he does know the hopeless affliction to the idea of grasping onto the concept of forevers. (not that heâs had many chances for this said permanence, but his longing for these forevers have him blindly knowing that heâd pathetically hold to the illusion of permanence.)Â
gulp once, the truth that came from his mouth even has his heart thundering in double time. âwhen you say it like that i suppose i like the stars too.â
such truths as these that this man speaks, strike him at the human flaw, the human core.Â
sehun doesnât enjoy finding vulnerability in commonerâs words.Â
but he shrouds himself in disbelief, his bones built for strength against brutality), oh sehun will not (?) fall fool to his (unfortunate) mortal weakness that has somehow crept in his divine form.Â
it ticks in his mind, it seems like the jutting feeling is leeching, mocking his careful self.Â
âbut i wouldnât recommend looking to the lights in the sky for hope,â the rise in his chest juxtaposes such mental grace, mental control he has. âpermanence is a hoax in itself, knowing its illusion tears the heart more.â and his tongue clicks, tasting the bitter roof of his mouth, tasting the tang of misfortune he has with permanence.Â
âdonât look into it too much, or iâll have to add you onto the pile of fools i unfortunately have around me.âÂ
(once again, his declarations never kind, empty of the tender touch.)Â

loud noises were bothersome.
perhaps yejunâs ears were a little too sensitive, or maybe being in such environments just made him nervous, anxious.. even so, he tried to avoid crowds, clubs, any place where a lot of people could gather and talk, talk, talk.
thatâs what humans were good at only: talking.
yelling was yet another thing that upset him. yejun would recall a long time ago, that white door, chipped paint.. the noises behind it were terrifying most of the time. heâd come back from school then stare at the door until his parents decided that it was enough, that they fought enough. mother would be the first to leave, then heâd see his father between a small crack: many times heâd be in tears, other times his nose would be bleeding, or yejun could notice a forming bruise at the corner of his eye.
yelling reminded him of violence and nothing more. getting yelled at made his stomach turn, heâd feel sick, heâd want to disappear.
he winces. that dayâs order were roses, beautiful red roses, with their big petals and thorns he was trying to cut off-- but the yelling made his hand tremble, just slightly, and the tip of his finger got a small cut.Â
itâs not painful, but the sight of blood makes him cringe, and soon heâs pressing said finger against his lips, licking the blood away [ let me kiss it better, sehun, his fatherâs voice played in his head ] as the other says his apology. âitâs okay.â he says, attention back into decorating the bouquet, cutting off the remaining thorns.
his gaze lifts up for a moment. yejun isnât smiling, but neither is he frowning. it didnât bother much, the otherâs impatience, but that day he was slacking, he couldnât work properly. âi said it was fine, itâs my fault. iâll finish this quick. donât stress over stupid things.â though a free meal or so, that didnât sound bad.
