This is a super old ask and I’m really sorry for never answering it!! >.<

I can’t really tell you why others like the ship, but the reason I like it is because neither of them take any of the other’s shit. Kitora doesn’t let Osamu make excuses, and actually gives him really good advice on how to better himself. Osamu doesn’t let Kitora’s harsh personality get to him, and seeks her out for help/advice despite her hostility. They actually get along and complement each other quite well. They push each other to be better. And hey, I think they look really cute together.

When the anime producers ship the same couple as you

I love how the World Trigger anime literally added a pillow talk scene between Nasu and Kumagai.

I also love how they add hints to Kitora liking Osamu. Even Arashiyama and Tokieda tease her for it (I’d add images of that but I couldn’t find and don’t remember in which episodes that happened)
