The blurb I’m sharing today is from my dear friend, Jodi Meadows @unicornwarlord. I came to know Jodi when we roomed together at the week-long RT BookLovers Convention in 2017. We quickly bonded over having the same editor and publisher at the time and over our love for excellent YA fantasy. 🌙 Jodi is honest and bold and tender-hearted and brilliant and snarky all at once. I can’t tell you how many times we’ve chatted on the phone when I’ve busted into giggles and said, “Why do you have to make me laugh about that, Jodi?!” 🌙 She’s also incredibly well-rounded. She was an accomplished dancer growing up, and she’s an expert knitter, spinner of yarn, and the best pet mama to many cats and ferrets, past and present. Her Instagram feed always features her amazing knitted creations, a cat modeling by them (she’s trained them well), and a good book. 🌙 Jodi has spent many hours giving me wise advice and talking me off ledges. I informed her just last week that she’s officially my guru now.
