my biggest artist insp is rei but i think roozu influenced my art style (mostly coloring) the most.. probably bc we used to draw together all the time,, and i’m still nowhere as good compared to her now smh

#im gonna gush about her art in the tags #her gestures always look so natural and alive #her style is kinda similar to chinese artists but it also has her own flavor in it #it doesn't have chinese artists clean-ness but the messiness is what makes it look so #organic?#also her colors are always really earthy and comfortable to look at #the way she blends and applies environment colors/lighting #also the way she scribbles something #like it's messy but the shape is very accurate(?) like you can tell what it is even if it's just messy #god tbh i'm so so lucky to have such a talented sweetheart as a friend #but i was an asshole to her #her art is just so good it's a shame she doesn't like put them in public or something #otherwise i think she'd be really popular bc she's just. so good #shut up aisha #i wanna gitgud at drawing gestures like that man #like i don't think she even uses references those come straight out of her hand #i mean her daily doodles of herself or her friends #just. so fucking good #i wanna draw like that #the most mindfuck part for me is #i've watched her grow like i think i was 15? she was like 11? and we're on this forum and #she just improves so much in a year and suddenly i'm 23 and a mess and she's #19 and my favorite artist #and it's just holy fuck it's been that long?
