— ✿       Something felt ... Off. Beginning with the fact that she woke up in the dark. ‘ Its night, still ?? ’, she’d wondered, yet usually it wasn’t pitch black like this. The only light source came from above, leading up with an all too familiar ladder. ‘ Did I ... ?? ’ Her thought process halted as she realized she’d waken up in her basement. But how ?? It was multiple stories down from where she usually slept, and sleep climbing ladders wasn’t something she was particularly known for.

Standing cautiously,  she searched herself for her lantern. Having fell asleep in her entire garb seemed to help, right now. Pulling out her light source, her suspicions were confirmed. Odd. Okay, she’d pass it off as a weird occurrence, then. 

The light glimmered back at her as she caught look of the mirror from the corner, deciding to check it out. Oddly enough, her reflection seemed ... Faint. As if that was not the mirrors main focus. The girls brows furrowed, as she reached out to clean the glass-- perhaps thats what it needed. 

Her hand slipped right through. No glass was broken, yet her hand felt as normal as usual. Pulling it out quickly as an instinct, the heroine gulped. This was all too odd for her liking, wasn’t one weird mirror enough for one life time ?? Never mind it, she’ll just ... Go back to bed.

The girl climbs back up her ladder, finding that her home was in place. Everything seemed perfectly normal aside from the mirror, so this had to be a dream !! A relieved sigh left her, yes, of course its a weird dream ... Lin put her lantern away upon seeing the sun creep into the windows. Dawn already ?? No fair. 

A few more minutes would be fine, right ?? 

Making her way to her usual resting platform, Linny, the courageous heroine of Hyrule was ( as per usual ) scared out of her wits. A startled yelp left her, as she uncovered someone to be sleeping in her usual place !! Did this person kick her out of bed ?? Was this still a weird dream ??

so ... this was --- hyrule? that’s what other him was calling it, anyway. this was what the surface looked like in the future? part of link feels proud, because he knows the home that zelda’s trying so hard to build in their own time works, and lasts. the other part of him is worried, and unnerved. he doesn’t know where he is, or where zelda is. if he’s being sent through time again, does that mean there’s more danger ahead for them? just when he thought they’d finally gotten through it all ... link’s fists clench, a frown tugging at his lips and a furrow between his brows. 

he needs to make sure zelda’s okay. he needs to get back. but how? link’s stare goes back to the boy who looked eerily similar to him, from the hair to the clothes, and then his eyes trail over to the sword on his back and stop before widening. was that --- ? it was! the master sword! but ... wasn’t it sleeping in the temple of time? what did it mean that the other him had it? he had so many questions, but he knew that fi would be able to answer them all --- or at least get them to the answers. link’s face breaks out into a wide smile, flooded with relief and joy. it’s enough that he finally speaks up.  “ fi! fi can help. can you call her? ”

Tiko knew he’d been away for too long. He knew the minute he set foot back in Hyrule that things had changed. The familiar thrum of magic he’d grown up with had disappeared, the fountains he visited all sealed up and away. For how long? He couldn’t tell. He wasn’t even certain when he had left, or what day it was. He should have been paying attention. And now the world had been turned on its head. 

He’d managed to find a few of his sisters, locked away in pots and trapped underground. All weak without the Great Fairies’ power, they told him they had been trapped, and where to find the cave in which the Great Fairies resided. 

Getting there, however, he knew he couldn’t do alone. Tiko could fight, but he knew enough to understand that this wasn’t a task he could complete on his own. It was something only the Hero could do. As much as he hated the thought, he knew he needed help. 

It took a while to find the hero, but he recognized the soul almost immediately. Familiar, even from years prior. He flew down, arms up in a show of peace. 

❝Oh...! You aren't my Link, right?❞  An obvious question that Zelda really shouldn’t have asked escaped from her lips. Just by TELLING, a mastermind scholar like the princess should have deduced that the person standing in front of her wasn’t the same one who saved her from the blights of the terrible Yiga Clan. Was appointed as her personal knight. Trailed with her through her efforts to awaken her powers. A friend. One whom she braved a hundred-year battle for.

“The legendary Tingle! Woah, Woah, Woah! My mind is, like, totally imploding right now, I can’t believe I’m meeting someone so famous for making the most detailed maps. I’m a huge fan of your work!”
