#orbital launch

So here's the thing. Space travel. Round trip flights to and from earth. That's trying real hard to be a thing. And there's this company. SpaceX. Who've been doing that very thing with some successes and some fails. But mostly successes. We're talking launching a shuttle AND orbiting earth and then landing it again. And they're doing it again tonight at 8:33 EST. NASA managers are postponing the upcoming Orbital Sciences commercial cargo resupply mission to the International Space Station to proceed with a series of spacewalks to replace a faulty pump module on the space station. Full article

At the end of August 2011 Russian space agency lost a cargo ship named Progress M-12M allegedly due to a rocket failure that lead to a faulty orbit. The ship then came crashing back down to Earth omiting three tonnes of rations and supplies from the International Space Station's reserve (ISS). At the time the Soyuz-FG was planned to launch a month later which had to be reconsidered and now right before Christmas another calamity presents itself to the Russian Federal Space Agency.
