#orante

Hello everyone~!

This is my art blog and my first official post on tumblr in years. I wanted to start by sharing this fun drawing I recently made of my oc, Oro, and @laberinto-perdido's oc, Díante!

Where do I even begin with these two... They have a long history. Originally, they weren't even meant to be a pair, but I guess it must be fate. I can no longer see a version of these two where they are not together, for better or worse.

Feel free to ask about them if you're curious. Unfortunately, I don't have any more writings with them to share at this time (I lost their old au stories as well due to negligence... Even their iconic "God AU" as we like to call it.)

Il y a une dizaine de jours, je suis parti retrouver Christine à Narbonne.

Le Musée Narbo Via, dédié à la Narbo romaine (cette ville fut la première ville romaine hors d'Italie et un des 3 plus grands ports de l'Empire romain)

. Ici des sarcophages paléochrétiens :

sarcophage de type aquitain, contemporain des Wisigoths - Vème s.

sarcophage : Jésus guérissant l'aveugle Bartimée, Saint Pierre avec son coq, Saint Paul, le pommier avec son serpent… - IVème s.

sarcophage "de l'Orante" (cette orante est la femme voilée en prière, au milieu)- IVème s.

Fac-simile du sarcophage du "Lege Feliciter" : mélange de paganisme (les dieux Hélios et Séléné) et de symboles chrétiens. Une Victoire au milieu gravant "LEGE FELICITER" = "Que la lecture t'apporte le bonheur" - IVèm s.
