And regardless of who Elain ends up with, that isn't gonna change. Unclear why this is a gotcha- the IC is Rhys' most trusted friends and his governing body.
Nesta got the Valkyries, Elain will get her own thing too as she should. And tbh, I think she'd dislike Rhys as much as Nesta if she knew how little he thought of her. Why would she want to be a member of a club that just tolerates her?
i know that svetlana ilya having genuine romantic feelings isn't super popular which i get because it's quite sad but i just can't over it. like ilya as a teenager like falling for svetlana HARD because she was the only one who could keep up with him and didn't make him feel like shit especially in those early days when he was still grieving his mom. but svetlana maybe not being super emotionally mature enough to navigate like. what that meant. so the two of them just keep doing this like detached friends with benefits thing as teenagers even though ilya was like actually in love with her and svetlana deeply suspects she's not like. completely emotionally uninvolved either. to then ilya going to go play for the MLH/NHL and the two of them being together in boston and svetlana finally being like. oh fuck. i'm in love with ilya. but it's too late!!! AHHH ilya's moved on!!!!!! he's fallen in love with someone else!!
and i like to think that while obviously a lot of ilya's issues with like. attachment and sex are like. his own problem haha. i think he did take a lot of cues from svetlana who was just like. yeah you can have unattached drifter sex with someone you love so deeply. here. watch. and like. idk. their like deep entanglement of being each other's best friends but like first loves is so juicy to me.

seen one too many snide posts about this in the last week or so but did you know that if you don't enjoy scenes in smut establishing consent or checking in then you simply don't have to read them and you don't have to go online and whine about how they're Consent Posturing and Purity Culture and Sanitizing Everything and God Just Kill Me Now. like you can have a preference without making it into a three act morality play, which is ironically what you are accusing other people of doing.
the same goes for like, detailed content warnings on fics. or content warnings at all. you can just skip those. they're not a sign of Purity Culture Gone Too Far or Those Damn Puriteens or whatever. you can dislike things without being an asshole about them or implying they're Taking Away What's Good And Correct About Fic Or Creativity.
