Oh absolutely aleks would want to play nurse and be super helpful but also hes......a disaster child and Doesnt Do That Well lmao. James appreciates it tho, and by the end he usually has some meds in him and is comfortable and sleeping while Aleks postmates some soup to warm up for dinner.
Unfortunately james very rarely gets to play nurse bc if aleks so much as sniffles, gavin has a minor break down and doesnt leave his side until he is all better (gavin has PTSD re: aleks almost dying as a kid from sickness rip). When he DOES get to take care of him, aleks is an AWFUL patient but james is enamoured as always and goes along with it until aleks finally passes out with tissues everywhere and more nyquil than is safe.

I could answer these both at once by saying that I have an idea for a short follow-up to The Relic that both breaks my heart and mends it, but I can't really share it or I'd be spoiling things. But I'm not sure if plans for future stories are the same as headcanons...
It's heartbreaking to think of how Loki struggles with mental illness, but just white-knuckles through it, occasionally hurting Cora along the way. But it melts my heart whenever she senses he is struggling and just starts feeding him. She can absolutely tell that VERY few people were ever concerned for his basic needs. Sometimes you need to assess if someone needs food, sleep, water...Cora is very good at that sort of thing.
