Better she give an out than corner him with the proposition. It would have been humourous to anyone to hear an Assassin ask a Templar such a question; she realises this, but Laera liked to believe that possibly, the two of them had a mutual understanding.

    Glancing down at his cup, Il Lupo decides that it is likely best to accept the order he’s been given ( incorrect or otherwise ). Exchanging drinks at this point would be undesirable, considering this stranger had taken a sip, && it isn’t as if the drink he’d been given is terrible — sure, it isn’t his usual, nor is it something he’s ever thought of trying, but new things aren’t always bad.

    “ Keep it, ” he says, offering the stranger a polite smile before lifting his cup to his lips to partake. Its contents are sweet — though not jarringly so — && the man can’t help but take another drink ; intrigued by the taste.

    “ What exactly is this ? ” he finds himself asking following his third pull from the cup.

   ❝ cool. ❞ worse comes to worse, he would’ve had to buy the guy another drink. had he the extra funds to actually do such, matt would’ve done it no problem. less hassle. right now... that wasn’t an option. he’s prefer to keep his spending to a minimum if he can help it. it takes a moment for him to remember his order, leaving the task for the upbeat cashier to choose from one of their own personal favorites.
