Join us in supporting OpenTechSchool! OpenTechSchool represents a community initiative targeted at making programming and other tech-related workshops available for anyone.

Omnicloud is supporting this great initiative by hosting FREE workshops in our cool new office in Gamla Stan and providing coaches – our rockstar developers! The first event is going to take place on October, 13th and is going to be dedicated to JavaScript.

Last week we were happy to welcome over 25 Javascript enthusiasts and five experienced and super-friendly coaches in our office for a workshop in Javascript for absolute beginners. Yet again, we were happy to feel the good vibe and see Stockholm's developer community growing stronger.

The workshop started at 11am, allowing all the Friday-party people to come to senses and get in the mood for some Javascript. During the day learners got the first insights into the programming language  by first learning about it from the coaches and then accomplishing corresponding tasks with their support. The “sharing-is-caring” atmosphere was visualized by kanelbullar and other snacks that were shared to keep the energy level high during the day. At about 6pm the event came to an end, and everybody went on applying the learned in the real world.
