We share data because we want science on pollution to be an open, transparent and democratic process. We are not just mapping litter, we are sharing data. Unlike most litter apps, anyone can download all OpenLitterMap data for free, and use it for any purpose, without permission. This is necessary to democratize science and allow anyone to produce knowledge on the state of pollution.
