Open friday - Craig Oldham
During the lecture of Friday, Craig Oldham mentioned bringing the audience into the creative process. I was interested in this because I am exploring collaboration in my project. I decided to ask Oldham how I could include the audience within a project because I was unsure how to approach it. He suggested 3 methods:
Get research before constructing the brief : This will allow the audience to inform the contents of your project.
Get feedback part way through a project by collecting group of people : This will make sure the outcome is targeted towards the audience and fits the audiences' needs and wants.
Gather feedback after the project that leads to the next stage : This allows further development of the outcome after it has been released to the public.
For my project, I will use the first 2 methods Oldham suggested. I have already started to include the first method into my project by using a questionnaire to gather initial research. I will use the 2nd method throughout my project by asking a group from my target audience to test the designs of my planner and provide feedback on what works and what needs to be changed.
If I decide to continue developing this idea in my personal time, then I may look at using the 3rd method to continue to develop and refine my designs.
