It's day number something or other. Ranboo stopped keeping track a long, long time ago.
He sits on his little island, the water lapping at the grass. He pulls his legs in a little closer to avoid the water. It's just barely big enough to fit him. It doesn't help much.
At least the sea is calm today.
She stares out into the horizon, the sun faintly glowing. It's always sunrise or sunset. Ranboo can never recall the days or the nights in between.
Ranboo wants to go home. She knows she won’t be going home for a very long time. She heaves a long sigh.
He surveys his surroundings slowly, not expecting anything new, but not expecting much else. His eyes flit over a small blip in the distance, and then move right past it before registering it as a small blip in the distance. His eyes widen, and for only a brief moment he allows his brain to dare to hope it's someone coming to save him. He dismisses the idea moments later, and his excitement fades considerably.
He watches as the small dot gets closer, and closer, though it doesn't seem to get significantly bigger. After some time though, he finally realizes that it may just be a bottle. Which, while he may have been disappointed before, is still much more interesting than the neverending sea.
The bottle hits the little island with a little thunk!, and Ranboo gently picks it up. She inspects the bottle, and notices a parchment stuck inside. Ranboo tilts her head in confusion, uncorking the bottle. She pulls out the message and-
