Outside of dosing Severa with Noire brand biological warfare, the archer would was actually quite hard pressed to actually upset the other girl. She would never admit it to anyone else but the twintailed mercenary had quite a soft spot for her raven haired friend. How one could stay mad at a face like that was entirely beyond her, to say nothing of the puppy like demeanor the other girl was insistent to clinging to. âHuh? Oh, fine.â She would reply back, letting her hands fall to her hips as she cocks a smile gently at Noire, it seems she moved all of one lance before already diverting the archer with chitchat. Severa wasnât known to be the best worker after all. âYou know, tormenting Owain and Cynthia, working with motherâŚâ She trails off some, tilting her head as she cocks an eyebrow. âAnd how about you? Outside of being sick and in dire need of seeing a healer.â She stresses, yep, Noire was not going to be escaping under Severaâs careful gaze!
âMhhm, it makes you wonder why weâre so set in using just one or two.â She would reply as Noire comments on all the weapons, which was quite a droll topic of conversation! Where was the juicy stuff?! Well, it was Noire, but still! âWhy a bow?â She would suddenly muse, looking for something else to carry the conversation. She wasnât the type to work quietly. Not one bit.
Severa, working with her mother? Noire paused in the middle of her action, blinking up at her friend in surprise - before she realized she was probably being /quite rude/. She shouldnât be so surprised! Of course, Noire struggled with both wanting to be useful to her mother, and fearing what âbeing usefulâ actually meant, but that didnât seem whatsoever the kind of relationship that Severa seemed to have with her mother. Their relationship seemed⌠a lot more tense, uncomfortable - just by the way the red haired girl tensed up when the topic came up in the past.
But maybe some sort of reconcilation was reached, or maybe Noire read it all wrong from the beginning. Not everyone had a broken family.
âIâm, uh, doing well ââ Noire said, quietly, dropping her gaze back to her task like a scolded child. She was going to put off the medical tent as much as possible, safety be damned. She busied herself with moving more weapons as Severa spoke, almost not paying attention until the sudden conversation shift. âA bow?â
Why was Severa asking about a bow? âYou mean⌠why do I use a bow?â Noire asked, a little dumbly. It was a strange question to ask⌠âWell⌠I just saw a lot of people using it. And I found it when I was trying to escape from some bandits, soâŚâ A little hopelessly, Noire shrugged, and then asked - âWhy a sword?â
Severa would blink a moment, a suspicious look coming across her features for a split second before she turned about and let here hands rest on her hips. It was quite rude! Though, thankfully for the both of them Severa only picked up on the smallest possible hint and thankfully didnât descend into the foul mood and haughty mannerisms that she was so accustomed to when the topic of her mother came out. They had a healthy relationship! Honestly! It was just frought with heartbreak and abandonment issues and a daughter who wanted nothing more than her motherâs love and attention but spurred it at every moment that it was offered because of the innate driving fear that she would lose it all again to a fate she could never escape. You know, the average teenage experience.
âYeah! A bow.â She would reply, procrastinating like all hell as she plopped her butt down on a sack of dusty old wind tomes which had never been touched once in their whole existence. âLike, even if heâs an idiot Owain has a point about people having signatures.â She remarks with a resolute nod, just making it very clear that even if the Nerdsquad wasnât present, they werenât free from her needling tongue. â... Escaped from bandits? Oh, now youâre going to have to tell me.â The Mercenary says, her voice making it quite clear that she is commanding Noire to recount the story. Though, the counter question gives her pause for a moment. Severa very nearly admits the truth, her mouth opening and the smallest hint of breath escaping before she twitched and turned her head quite suddenly with a red epression. âW-What kind of dumb question is that?â She asks, her voice somewhat higher than normal as she tries to deflect Noireâs line of questioning. âWords just- They have flair and style, better than dumb lances too...â Mumbling and grumbling....
