#cured verse

   Compulsion was a vampire trick that'd been embedded into Katherine's persona for so long, she'd wholeheartedly began to take it for granted. A privilege that had recently been snatched from right beneath her.

     Now, she had to stand among the mortals and wait her turn, pay for things-- despising every moment of the normalcy.

  Naturally, it'd just be her luck to take heeled footing so quickly and crash into a girl that mirrored her movements. Order spilling down her front, Katherine simply pursed her open lips, after a moment of pure disbelief.

   ❝You know, it’s funny…❞ she began, not having lost her confident manner; her way with words was ultimately all that Katherine had left. Her only point of advantage. ❝I’m not the sentimental type. I have no problem packing up and moving out; acting how I need to for my own survival. I’m actually well-suited to adjustments, change; doing without.❞

     ❝But, the thing is, I relished in being a vampire. You see, that’s the one thing that I did have— that I was ensured to always have— and, now that it’s gone; I don’t exactly have much.❞
