ABOUT LARA

Lara Becker really is the perfect little lady, just like her mommy raised and wanted her to be. Both she and her brother Scott Becker were brought up in the small circles of somewhat high society. Lara was always dressed in the finest and prettiest of clothes, her hair pulled back perfectly and she never ever stepped a toe out of line or said a thing out of place. Polite, courteous and highly attentive Lara learned how to work a crowd from a young age. She always knows just what to say, just what the other person needs to hear to get back on their feet and her kind heart has only helped with just that. She never much minded being paraded around at family parties or charity galas, she did everything her mother asked of her, she was even the loveliest debutante at the Debutante Ball. Perhaps a little bit of a pushover, Lara would much rather diffuse a situation with compromise or giving in than argue over things that don’t really matter anyway, right? Sometimes it’s just better to hold your tongue than to upset everyone else in the room. Following the rules became somewhat of a second nature to her and the fear of disappointing her parents was and is still always at the front of her mind. She just wants to make them proud, happy even it means sacrificing what she wants at times.

She’s always had a really good relationship with her brother despite the fact they couldn’t be more opposite. Scott, unlike Lara, would do all he could to defy their parents and stir up trouble. Lara has spent more time than she’d care to recall getting her parents to ease up on Scott or covering for him whenever she could. She never thought he’d be so terribly selfish and irresponsible to actually run away from them but he did. The absence of Scott shook the whole Becker household and sent their parents into a state of distress. Lara was worried sick every single day he was gone but she did her best to keep it together (like a lady) and hold up her parents as best she could. When Scott came back home with his tail between his legs she didn’t know whether to hug him or scream at him, it turned out she could do both at the same time. Family means a lot to her so she was again devastated when her parents shipped Scott off to boarding school and left her alone to deal with everything. One thing she hates to deal with are her two adoptive cousins Sienna and Amy MacNeille who have done nothing but make her life a misery every since they were kids. She had hoped that going off to college would have gotten them out of her hair but alas, she’s just not that lucky. On the plus side, she has had her new next-door neighbour Travis Montgomery to keep her company. He’s a real mystery to her but he got accepted into WDC too so at the very least it’ll be nice to have another friendly face around.

Till the age of six, he though that was his full name. —  Sebastian has a talent for making the wrong call. Always. I’m saying a talent, because he’s honestly trying sometimes, yet he rarely succeeds in not fucking up. —  Sebastian has parents who didn’t hesitate to strike when they were unhappy. It was a vicious circle you see – his dad would come home angry, drink and hit him and his mother, then his mother would get drunk and upset and hit him, and then Sebastian would get drunk and hit some kids on the street (and they would always hit him right back). —  Because of his family’s situation, Sebastian grew up loving boarding school.

SKELETON BIOGRAPHY:

—   Marien developed a drug addiction at sweet sixteen. Not because she had some personal issues to battle, but because she was bored. Also all the cool kids in her clique were doing it, so why the hell not? —   Marien has always been a problematic child. That was until she fell in love when she turned eighteen and the experience transformed her into a better person. She cut most drugs off, keeping only weed on her menu. She even stopped cutting classes and managed to graduate on time. It was wonderful. The sky was blue and the birds were always singing. —   Marien had her heart broken three years later, when she found out she was being cheated on. —   A year later, Marien is the definition of a hot mess. She’s back to being difficult and a complete handful. Weed is not enough and often she has to take something extra to keep herself from falling apart.

SKELETON BIOGRAPHY:

—  Has your mother ever tried to kill you? Intentionally? Manith’s did. She overdosed the food she served him and his sister one day and the two ended up in the hospital. Little Manith had no idea where he was and what was happening when he woke up in a white, sterile room. He remembers being scared and feeling impossibly ill. He didn’t find out about the reasons for his hospitalization till later on in life. —  Manith’s mother was sent to prison and that affected his sister deeply. She figured out what their mother had done way before Manith ever got a clue, and she let that information consume her to the point of destruction. — But Manith was always there for her, holding her hair when she threw up everything after drinking too much, bandaging her arms when the knife had slipped and cut her skin. A very repetitive incident. — When his powers manifested, Manith was so not ready to deal with yet another disaster in his life. He tried to suppress them, ignore their existance. But when fire wanted to get out – it got out. — He woke up one night to find his room in flames. Their home burned down, but thankfully there were no casualties. When suited men came later to ask questions, Manith confessed his burden and was surprised to hear they had a solution in store for him.

SKELETON BIOGRAPHY:

—  Bexley was expecting her powers to come ever since she could remember. Both of her parents had powers, so of course she would, too. —  Bexley never had a stable home, not in terms of a place at least. But she had two loving badass parents, so that more than made up for it. Still, she could have spent less time in the car. —  Bexley realized why they were always on the move when what was chasing them finally caught up -- other gifted people, angry about old history, or so she gathered by the short conversation they had before it all turned bad. Like—real bad. —  Bexley gained her powers the same moment her parents got murdered in front of her. First she was screaming, then she was teleported away from the horror scene. —  Bexley has been living on the streets ever since then, barely surviving and staying off every radar. Not really though, because at one point government officials found her and made her an offer she saw no point in refusing.
