Editions? Where? Can we flip them? There's been an angry crowd lately, who collected too many OE's and weren't able to instantly flip them (not towards me, but in the NFT art space). Collect with care, and you shouldn't collect for more than you can afford. Investing in art is not easy. A few factors that are important in whether the art will increase in value over time. 1. Does the artist and the artwork stand out? 2. Does the artist release too much artwork, will the market become too saturated for an increase in value? 3. Go back to number 1 & 2, run it over multiple times, study more artists, be patient if you want to invest. 4. Time horizon, consider it takes time for an artist to develop and to gain a large audience. 5. If none of the above is for you, then collect only from what you personally love to look at and what you can afford as a luxury present to yourself.

I was only there for a few days, but I popped over to Glasgow a second time to see Michelle Hannah perform. While I was aware of her neo-Gothic Romanticism work the last time I was over there, she had not yet begun her live performances then as a singer. Not wanting to miss the chance to see one, I sat through two terrible to the point of offensive performance pieces before she came on. A stark performance of popular songs through vocal distortion, all I can say is that I'm glad I saw it, but I wish I saw it somewhere else. As an embodiment of the black heart of Glasgow, Hannah's performance already exists in another time, and would benefit from existing in another place. I've said this to her directly, but looking back at what I did see in Scotland, I thought this was worth a public mention.
