Opal's home and resting well. She got back yesterday :) We have her gated off on her bed so she can move a little and lay down how she wants. Cone goes on when she's not supervised but at the moment she's not interested in bothering the site so she can have it off when we're with her.

We let Opal go this past Monday. She had a mass in her abdomen and the prognosis wasn’t good. She had her whole family with her and passed peacefully. Rest easy and run free, sweet girl.

Opal's at the vets for the next few days, getting surgery on her cruciate ligament. Long story short, after the initial injury we did strict low exercise for a few months and it really helped! She was back to her normal walks and calm play outside. Then we went to my brother's wedding and left her with our uncle, who was on strict no-exercise orders from the doctor before heart surgery, so my parents didn't think to tell him to restrict HER exercise as he wasn't even going to be the one walking her. He found her favorite ball and played fetch with her for a few hours. Her originally bad knee held up, but the other one went bad and kneeds surgery. We'll miss her while she's away! 💛🐾 Cross your fingers that things go well. I'm going to be preparing a lot of crate rest enrichment for her.
