30 seconds into the movie, everything turns live action and the audience is supposed to realize that glitch has actually signed a contract w disney regarding tadc and its episodes

also the cast is not their voice actors, they are

pomni: jenna ortega

jax: jacob elordi

gangle: margot robbie

zooble: zendaya

ragatha: florence pugh

kinger: ryan gosling

bubble: chris pratt

first off: i have to say that this was one of the most heartwrenching experiences i have ever had. i mean, the entire sequence with pomni looking into jax's memories, and the scenes with him, ribbit, and kaufmo hanging out and being buds before he shares his past with ribbit were so lovely to see

i also realize that most of the trailer clips were from the first 20 odd minutes of the movie; interesting

now, for the main thing i wanted to talk about: their human forms. AAAAAAA i have waited fifty seven years to see them in real life and THE ACTORS! they fit their animated counterparts so well! they all seem like people i would LOVE to hang out with

the ones id like to focus on for a bit are kinger's, gangle's and jax's irl lives as grant best, zoey raghavan and leeroy mateo

grant and his family with destiny are THE cutest thing ever! and the fact that they did meet in the circus as kinger and queenie really shows that they are such soulmates.

zoey is my new comfort character, she is so beautiful irl, and i also have to gush about the fact that she's indian/indian-origin! representation wooo!!!! and in the circus, some of her drawings can be seen here and there, and BOY do i wanna eat that artstyle

finally, leeroy. this entire episode was loaded with just him, and dude (/genderless) there is so much to unpack here. his dad leaving him, and his mom taking out her frustrations about his departure on her son? had me clutching my knees bro. and the PARALLELS with him staring at his glitchy hand as we see his mom's glitched out body lying in front of him, and then that shifting into pomni? the callback to ep 6 where he pushed pomni off him, and he stood staring at his hand? im going to combust this is too much

although the beginning of the movie felt a bit bumpy in terms of pacing, it smoothed out as the movie went on, and the hour went by in a matter of minutes

over all this movie was the perfect ending, with their human forms getting on the same bus with no knowledge about each other from the circus, and really tied up the series beautifully, even if i do have some questions.

like: does abstraction in the circus have any irl repercussions?

how did their memories of the circus get wiped if these were all their 'brain folders'?

and so on

is it mathematically possible in a table seating arrangement for a friendgroup for everyone to be part of the conversation with minimal effort

so far (based off my experiences) the list goes:

threeseater - 3/10, good for duos, maaaybe a trio if it's healthy, not squad/quintet-or-higher friendly

twoseater - 2/10, leading duo makes their own convo while stragglers struggle to be part of it. not trio-or-higher friendly

twoseater ver2 (turned tables n chairs) - 8/10, allows everyone to be part of the convo in case of a squad, a quintet and hextet can fit in with some extra chairs, though not heptads-and-higher friendly

tables in a circle - 9/10 or 7/10 depending on the circumstance. if its a healthy group where everyone talks to everyone, then this is good for any number of friends (but to be honest, imo if you have more than 8 members in a friendgroup, that's not a friendgroup that's a collection) however if it is a fg which has like a bunch of duos n trios n stragglers calling themselves a 'group' then its a 7/10 bc whats the point of having this massive ass table if ur js gonna talk to the mf next to you
