TASK ONE: MUSICAL MONOLOGUES

"what is one thing all musicals have in common? the penultimate moment where one of the characters belt a show stopping tune to signify growth, a turning point or just a sad sad moment in their journey. i like to call them --- musical monologues. in other words, it’s a solo. your assignment this week is to tap into a famous solo of your choice and sing it proud center stage. whether you choose elphaba’s ‘defying gravity’ from wicked, jenna’s ‘she used to be mine’ from waitress, or alexander’s ‘hurricane’ from hamilton, make sure you’re prepared to explain why you chose the song and what the songs means to you. choose wisely.” ---- miss jenn.
