4/14! Happy 17th Birthday to my very first Sonic OC, an orange Shadow recolor with Knuckles gloves named Blaze. Made him back in April 14th, 2002. I first played Sonic Adventure 2 Battle during the March Break of that year and that’s when my hyper fixation that never really ended on Sonic began! 

Sonic Rush hadn’t been a thing yet, so of course after Blaze the Cat was introduced, I remember all the people informing me there was already a character named Blaze, and I was always thinking “How come nobody looks at the dates of when things are posted”

I really love this character still, I made three different comics with him that took up entire sketchbooks, he had adventures and was a treasure hunter that was raised in the way of the ancient Echidnas. Fun stuff!
