Was it possible for one’s heart to stop and both beat at an impossibly fast pace at the same time? 

She was sitting, but it felt like her world was suddenly tilt violently on sharp angle, so much so that her hands shot out to grip at the edges of her desk for dear life.

And then a sharp laugh barked out from somewhere within her -- because it had to be a joke. Ichigo wouldn’t just die. She didn’t even think it was possible. She’d seen the man herself in many occasion when he should have been dead and he stood like it was fine, kept on fighting, never even blinked.

He didn’t die. 

THE  BLONDE  tilts  her  face  low  at  him,   visibly  angered  by  his  comment,   but  nowhere  near  losing  her  self - control,   nor  her  confidence.     it’s  still  taken  as  nothing  but  an  insult.     her  eyes  glance  to  the  famed  metal  arm,   just  for  a  split  second,   and  then  her  gaze  bears  back  down  on  his  face.
