You slam your alarm clock silent, annoyed by the constant ringing in your ear.
You sit up, stretching back and sighing softly. You blink a few times, still slowly waking up, and—“Shoot.”
You realize you have a busy day ahead of you, and that you’re about to be late for work. You rush to get dressed, running to the bathroom to brush your teeth.
“Dammit- Dammit- Dammit!-”
You sprint out of the house, looking presentable, but not as well as you may have wanted to. You continued to run, and as soon as you made it to the store, you turned around and leaned against the brick wall. You stop and calm down, panting. As soon as you’re able to breathe normally again, you fix your posture, move your bangs out of the way of your face, and walk in. You sigh as you make your way to the back of the store.
(You work at Hot Topic). You start walking around, asking customers if they need help finding anything, like any other employee would. Until you stop at a young man—around your age. You politely ask
“Is there anything you need help finding, sir?” He turns around and looks at you.
“No I’m good, thanks I guess though.” He didn’t sound the most warm, actually he sounded grumpy and scratchy. But it wasn’t your job to care.
“Okay, if you do please feel free to ask.”
He said shooing you off with one dehydrated looking hand. You then walk away to go greet customers with your usual employee personality. It was like when you walked into work you had to change your personality. Like flipping a switch on and off.
“Hi, is there anything I can help you find? Anything your looking for?”
“Yes, my grandaughters birthday is coming up and she likes this store a lot. Do you have that one shirt… It has this cat character…”
“Right over here ma’am.” You bring her to a shelf that has multiple Hello Kitty shirts and other Sanrio things of that sort. “Is there anything else you need?”
“No, but thank you dear, you’re such a sweetheart.”
“Thank you. Have a great day, and don’t be afraid to ask to find anything else!” After that you walk away to go help other customers
After a long day of work you begin to walk out of the mall, to your car. On your way you see the young man that looked around your age that you saw in the Hot Topic. You decide to ignore it not having anymore energy to socialize. All you wanted to do now was lay down and cuddle your cat.
So as soon as you got home you put your purse down and walk to your room, immediately plopping onto the bed. After a few minutes you have the energy to change into pajamas. So you get up, go to your closet,and change. You change into a black T-Shirt and Shorts. After you go back to laying on your bed. When you go onto your phone, you lay there, scrolling on TikTok when you notice that you got a Notification?
You go into it and you see someone followed you. It was weird, because you didn’t make videos. But you just decided to ignore it. After a while you go to check who followed you and it was a user named “Tomu233”… you decide to do some digging. You see some of his posts, and figure out his Instagram. You then see… it was the grumpy dude from Hot Topic… you then see that he DMed you, you check it and it reads..
“Hey, I’m Tomura by the way. I saw you at Hot Topic. You seem like someone I would like to be friends with. Wanna meet up at the park or something? We can get ice cream and get to know each other. What’s your name? I’m 21 by the way. I also saw you looking at your phone and might’ve saw you playing league of legends? I like that game too, I’d love to be friends. Sorry for messaging you I’m just kind of desperate to have friends..”
After reading it you reply with
“Im Y/N, nice to meet you, and sure, I’d love to get to know you, and yeah I love league of legends. I’m 21 too, what park do you wanna meet at?”
He reply’s with “Let’s meet up at Shinjuku Gyoen maybe?”
“Sure, what day and time?” You reply with in a few seconds
“Maybe Friday at 5?” He says
“Sounds good to me. See you then. I’m tired I’m gonna go to bed.” You say
“Okay, goodnight. I’ll see you Friday.”
You then put down your phone and leave it charging on the night stand, for a minute you lay there wondering if the choice you made was a good idea. You eventually fall asleep, but at 2:34 Am you wake up.. Nothing in particular woke you up.. you just did.. you groan sitting up and rubbing your eyes.
