I wish I had more good hair days, sunny skies, and horse drawn carriages in 2018...but alas...some days are not meant to be that! There are those top knot, acne spot treatment, and dirty sweatpants kinds of days smattered throughout my 2018 and probably will be there in 2019. I don’t post those pics #onthegram but I should be brave enough to do that. (Should that be my 2019 resolution?!?) 🤔When I think about all that 2019 will bring for me and you, here is the #goodnews I want you to hear on this #motivationmonday as we close out 2018....On those days when the world is NOT giving you the perfect hairdo and the clouds are surrounding you and it becomes more overwhelming than you think you can bear, God Says You Are Accepted JUST AS YOU ARE! Most of us spend our entire lives trying to earn acceptance. We want to earn it from our parents, peers, partners in life, from people we respect, maybe even from people we envy. The drive to be accepted is a deep drive that can influence the kind of clothes you wear, the kind of car you drive, the kind of house you buy, even the career you choose. We love the feeling of "I'm OK, I'm accepted; somebody accepts me." When you're #accepted, it does tremendous things for your self-esteem. ❓So you ready for that #selfesteemboost❓ The truth is God accepts you and that acceptance is not based on your performance. You don't have to earn his acceptance; you don't have to prove yourself to him. Your hair does not have to be perfect and you don’t have to have it all figured out before you approach God. We need to stop thinking, "I've got an unpleaseable God up there and I've got to be a good boy, or good girl, to be accepted." God has already accepted you as you are and with God all things in 2019 and beyond are possible! And that's the Good News! Wishing you a new year where you know that you are loved and worthy!
