                    Quick feet dangled uselessly over the edge of the bed as the warm air stood still in the room, pressing down on his already idle form. Marble features were painted with boredom and pale lips lay slightly parted as eyes, as dark as the night, threatened to fall shut every now and then. His head lolled to the side and for a moment he needed to remind himself he wasn’t at home, he couldn’t just sleep his boredom away. He was awake, but at what cost? Sluggish movements rolled him from his back over onto his stomach until he finally was able to see the REASON he was out and away from his basement. Onyx eyes lingered on the blonde’s frame, wandered over his arms to his golden looks and suddenly a smile was plastered all over Peter’s face. Faint memories of their lips locked resurfaced and the tips of his fingers tingled with the phantom touch he remembered on Kyle’s soft skin. “ I can’t believe you got me out of my basement so I could watch you study, man. ” 

                    He jumped up and steady legs carried him across the room in a FLASH until he came to a halt next to Kyle. Muscles relaxed slightly when Peter leaned against the desk, but words got caught in his throat as soon as he turned his head around to face the frat boy. Everything was the same, the hair, the nose and the soft lips were still just how he had memorized them, except that Kyle’s eyes were now hidden behind a pair of glasses Peter couldn’t remember him ever needing. Awkwardness crept up his throat and shoved all friendly words down he had originally wanted to say until just the dullest question he could think of remained. “ Woah, bro. WHEN did that happen? ” 

“Do you have any idea where I am?”

A laugh echoed from her lips softly as she pushed the hair away from her eyes. Darkness would soon be enveloping the sky, rendering Camilla well and truly lost for the night. This was her last hope of finding her way back to her aunt’s house before having to try local hotels for room space.

Even for a Sunday night, the town seemed almost deserted. Perhaps it was the chill in the air, causing the girl to wrap her coat tightly around herself.

“Are there any landmarks nearby? Or a payphone so that I can call somebody?”

These words weren’t uncommon or something you couldn’t hear someone saying, but for Kyle Spencer? It was phantom. Sure Tate doesn’t understand all of this shit, but he does get that Kyle is struggling. That is all he needs to now right now, that his brother is in pain and for once he needs to do what Kyle has done for him for the expanse of his life– show him his true worth. “No! You are a person, you’re the best person this fucking horror show of a world has ever seen!” Hand moves forward to grab his brothers, adding to his words with a physical addition that shows how he feels. Nothing’s changed, he still feels the same way about him he has from the beginning. He is perfect, and he won’t stop until he can acknowledge that too.
