I just realized that about half of your fics are the length of novels, and I applaud you for this.

Oh lol thank you! Most of my fics are actually the length of a novella, though, between 35k and 40k words.

But, I have a confession to make: I’m so used to reading fantasy books (that, because of the complex plot, tend to be way longer) that I had always thought anything shorter than 150k words to be a short novel, and anything shorter than, say, 80k words more a novella than a novel. After seeing again this graphic, however, I checked my Calibre library and realized that I had grossly overestimated a typical novel word count. Wow…

So this was a total shot in the dark about what you look like, but I had to show my appreciation for your work somehow. You are such an amazing writer, and it just gets me so invested in the story in a way not many actual novels have done for me. I was a avid reader in middle school, but no novels I find really get me interested enough to pull myself from theatre, choir and AP classes. But your fanfic’s are so amazing, so well written, that if someone printed out a completed one and put it in a book cover, people would think it’s written by a established author. Just had to put that out there ok bye

I have no words to thank you for saying this, it means so much that there are people out there who like my stories so much, it’s really something that makes me want to write more and repay me completely for all the effort I put into it, even more, it makes me want to work harder. And well, I can think of more than a couple of reasons people wouldn’t like them, the most objective one being the fact that everything I’ve written is without any hint of romance, and most people only read fanfictions for shipping. But nobody should ready something he/she doesn’t enjoy, so it’s fine!
