SHAWNEE, GIDGET, MELISSA, JANA!
IMPORTANT DRAGONCON TRIP WORDS UNDER THE CUT!
While this is super exciting, it also means it is time for us to start getting shit together.
If you had planned on getting your ticket early, do so within the next week or so, that way the card has time to get to your house (you can use our address if you wish, Shawnee, since you'll be in school). If not, its fine. You can always purchase your ticket at the con that day. The ticket is $130.
Next order of business is the hotel room. We have one booked. The price is around $900. So if we split it up evenly, that should be around $150 per person. ****It is super important that Megan be given that money for the hotel before we leave!****
Parking for the hotel room is at $10, or at least that's what the Dragon*Con website states.
I'm assuming 2 vehicles will be involved. One for the Ninja Kitties and another for Jana, Melissa, and Martin. If I'm wrong, let me know! **Note to Melissa: Is it still cool with you to give Shawnee a lift to our place? Message me and let me know.
Jana, Melissa, and Martin: you'll have to get together to discuss how you want to deal with gas and such.
As for the Ninja Kitty car: If mine and Megan's calculations are correct (we have never claimed to love math), it looks like it would be around $40 each for gas to and back.
As for food: Last year we were not prepared and spent to much money buying food at the con. Fuck that noise. Megan and I are going to request a fridge and microwave for the room. I was thinking if we all brought drinks (sodas, juice boxes, whatever. it doesn't have to be a lot or expensive. off-brand little shits) and like chips and stuff for sandwiches, we could survive without breaking our wallets. Of course if anyone wants to bring liquor, NO ONE WILL STOP YOU. ;)
******Things you'll need to pack: ID, ticket (if you have one), deodorant, cosplay stuffs, toiletries, clothes, bathing suit (there is a roof pool), and massive amounts of pillows and blankets.******
If you have any questions or concerns, please let me know.
