Did a run with her today - 6.3km or so. She'd already had a 3-4 mile walk with Elmira earlier in the day and some time hanging out with Luna. 

Running-wise - she still doesn't want to run out front. I don't know if this is because everytime we've run she's been hot/tired/not used to the harness, or if my lead-pulling training has worked so much she's not sure what to do. I think she enjoyed it though. 

We just met 2 dogs - a golden retriever that lay down as soon as he saw her? either that's some very good training or an odd quirk. She started pulling forward but no barking, but then I got her looking at me in a slow trot and we zoomed on by - I was holding the treat practically in front of her nose though. But no barking or lunging. 

The only other dog we saw was what seemed to be a norwegian elkhound or a  swedish valhund. very distinctive. It was as we came up to the end of the railway line and I was about to do a turn around. She again went to pull forward and I turned around and called "this way" and then the lead gave her a tug and she came with me. 

We ran past a spaniel playing in the playground and she looked a couple of times. We also ran past some dogs playing in a garden and again she looked but not much else. 

Somehow I've missed out - i don't remember Wednesday's walk?! 

Thursday I wanted to do a walk midday - I had the afternoon off work to go car shopping. Unfortunately as I drove home I realised it was far too hot for her. So gave that a miss. So in the evening we ended up doing a 10.5km walk, from the house. 

We met LOTS of dogs. Unfortunately our next door neighbours currently have about 4 dogs to stay so all their smells and barking had set her off. So she was quite barky to begin with. We met a lot, not all I will be able to remember. 

Definitely one lab down the railway line. Mostly okay, 1 bark but didn't lunge.

An off lead dalmation - i got her sitting next to me and it came right up to her and she growled but only one bark and lunge and off it went. 

She wasn't very impressed with a golden retriever. had quite a lunge at it. 

Then encountered a gordon setter that was loose off a canal boat. Ruska was very barky and not happy at all. 

Discovered that Elmira has been watching a bit of Ceser Milan....Eek. She's been yanking her away when she barks at dogs. I've tried in the nicest way possible to ask her not to do that and to keep her focused on food but I can't be too mean cause she's doing me a massive favour by walking her. And things will be back to normal come next week so shouldn't be too bad.
