ME: I’m a 16 year old, Indian, teenager, living on Long Island, in the US, and I can't say that I’ve been around much personal segregation or sexism in my life, thankfully. But still, enough people, many of which are close to my heart, experience that struggle everyday even as young as me and there’s a countless number of times where a guy was chosen over a girl because of that nagging sentence “oh, a girl can’t do this.”
We may be young, but the women we are lives inside us, we are here, we are smart, we are human, and we are no different. So, take a second, and look at these strong women; people who have achieved more than many will in their entire life times. Take a look at what women could be seen as if were were seen as equals, not property. And notice, how in this world, it sometimes goes unrecognized by the lady herself that she is being suppressed into something inferior.
I’m a 16 year old, Indian, teenager, living on Long Island, in the US, and I can’t say I have much experience of the world. But still, with the little experience I do have, I know some things need to change... but first people just have to look a little closer.
