Hi everyone.

It's been a week since we've put the Indiegogo up, however we've only raised £245, even though we've had over 600 visitors to it. This means we're definitely not going to reach our target.

We want to run this year, but we seriously can't except with the help of the generous community. The great thing about this is that anyone can contribute, from across the world.

Please signal boost this, it may not be a massive issue that some of the posts here are, but it's an issue to me because I had such a great time last year, I want to do it again this year.

We are ONECon, Otakus North East Convention, and it exists to satisfy all your geek related wants in one handy place. This year aims to be better than the last!

As some of you are aware, I'm the anime manager at ONECon, which is a convention that's hopefully happening in England this summer. Last year was a hit, but this year due to our non-profityness we need to raise funds to actual run this year, otherwise it's never going to happen

So we need everyone's help to actually get this con rolling this year! Even if it's only a small amount, we would gladly receive any help!

There's a survey over the few cons that ran in the UK or England over the past year, and ONECon (my amazing convention) are in it!

For the first time ever the north east geek community is pulling together to raise money for BBC children in need. On Friday November 15th cosplayers representing all of the regions biggest geek events will be out in force doing a cosplay trek to fundraise. Anime Attacks, OneCon, StreetPass Newcastle, Necon, Sci-Fairs, Universal Alliance, ScreenCon and SunnyCon have banded together under the name of the Con-glomerate Fundraisers. The cosplay trek will see cosplayers travel from Sunderland through Gateshead and Newcastle and finish off in Hexham stopping off in local geek stores and holding photo shoots of all the fantastic costumes along the way. Con-Glomerate fundraisers will also be doing an online campaign to raise even more funds from the wider community with a target of £2000 .
