Hot Toys has branched out from their regular array of Marvel Cinematic Universe to give us a Spiderman Advanced Suit from the Playstation 4 exclusive Spiderman video game. Even seeing this made came off as a big surprise to me but then getting it in hand and seeing how good it was as a product plain blew my mind.

Presentation: The Spiderman Advanced Suit box actually surprised me in that it offers a different styling in the form of a magnetic front that opens up to show the product and accessories vs. having a slipcover (this flap opening also has the spider sense effect attached to it so don’t be like me and miss it.) It’s a great look and styling with cool colors and graphics on the box. The figure per Hot Toys standard is will packaged inside of the plastic clamshell with plenty of plastic and foam to make sure nothing gets rubbed and scuffed inside.

Build: The suit seems to be a vinyl-type material with detailing that’s just above and beyond. Like I said in the video review, you really have to check this one out in hand because the fine lining, raised logos, and whatnot throughout it is really incredible. This suit also seems to have significantly more “give” than others when it comes to stretching during posing the figure making for much more fun play. The body itself seems to be a new sculpt with a different build and soft-ratcheting joints.with really great ranges of motion. I do wish that he could swing his hips higher in order to get some of those more dynamic jumping and swinging poses but in comparison to most 1/6th scaled figures particularly with these types of suits the articulation is honestly great.

The accessories are pretty straightforward and gone over in the video portion but the only thing that I wish is that they made equivalent hands for each side. It’s odd that he can only hold certain items on this or that side because it’s the only one that has a hand for it.

Articulation: The articulation points are pretty standard for the Hot Toys diecast armors with a nice amount of range for movement. The amount of forward and back swing that he can get in his abdominal area when extended is particularly impressive.

Overall Score: 9.5/10 – The Hot Toys Spiderman Advanced suit just plain brings it. It has the look, the playability, fun accessories, etc. etc. that take it beyond something that just just looks really good to a piece that you’re going to find yourself constantly taking OFF of the shelf to mess with. This Video Game Masterpiece series really brings some appreciated diversity to the Hot Toys lineup as well because I wouldn’t have a Hot Toys Spiderman to this day preferring the comic look much more so than the movie iterations.

Took some extra pictures of Balam and his Robodogman pal Wendham to help illustrate their story! A big thank you to Steven Dwyer ( Wendham's owner) for the story and photoshoot assist!

“Balam has the usual stoic and quiet tendency of most former V.U.L.T.R agents but his former career had left him with a fear of his terrible capabilities . No longer forced to obey orders to hurt others but with memory banks full of the things he had done, Balam seeks a life of peace. He sequestered himself away from humans and cyborgs so that he would never have to act in violence again. However, while out scavenging for fuel pods one day, a chance meeting with a Robodogman named Wendham changed his life forever.  Wendham was patient and kind, encouraging Balam to see the positive aspects of society and to stop seeing himself as nothing more than a weapon.  They set up an outpost together, a place where Balam could have occasional company rather than continue to hide himself in the Wastes. After a few months of companionship, Wendham had to move on and seek others to help. Balam gave the Robodog a homing beacon that would ping the Harpyja soldier, bringing instant aid if there was any trouble on his journeys. Wendham accepted the beacon but silently vowed to never use it, knowing that it would force his friend to go back to his old ways and do things he no longer wanted to do. Pressing a small dried flower into the towering cyborg's hand Wendham said "Peace to you brother, and always be your best self." and went on his way. These days Balam mans the outpost, helping travelers and people in need when they happen across his home. "

Their long cable bundle tails serve as a cat-like counterbalance and as a tool to interface with other machines. Quiet and reserved, they have not taken to their decommissioned life as easily as the Robodogman units they served with. Some still wander, trying to find their place in a new world...."

"In the old days when she only had a serial number as a name, Lich was legendary. Spoken about with the reverence of a mythological figure, every mission assigned to her had a 100% success rate, her patience and intensity set her above and beyond her Anubot peers. Now retired from martial service she keeps herself in the lap of luxury and power as a highly sought after gangster queen, taking assignments from the upper echelon of the various tribes of the Wastes. Available for assassinations, extractions, thievery, contraband escort, item recovery, hostage capture/rescue, and everything in between, Lich doesn't really care about collateral damage or ethics. She leads a crew of hand picked hunters like herself with a firm iron claw. She gained the name Lich because of her dead-cold personality, unflappable and detached. She is missing a single ocular lens due to a double cross within her own gang, exposing her to a strike from her lifelong rival. It is the one time in her life she has ever been surprised and she intends to never, ever let that happen again.  If you can afford her, you can be absolutely sure the job will be done and most likely ahead of schedule."

This is a 1/6 ( 12" tall) scaled posable one of a kind figure.  The blank body and clothes are store bought but modified! I did NOT sew the jumpsuit!  I did make the cloak. The head, hands and feet sculpted on my own and cast in urethane. The tail is my own make and is poseable.  The cast parts are painted and assembled so the figure can still move and pose.  Be mindful of the hands, as they are made to come out.

The small glass bottles on her belt glow in the dark. This figure will come with the stand pictured. Please treat this piece with care! It can be played with and posed but don't get too nuts with him. His fingers and toes could break or his paint could get scuffed! I recommend using a stand to display him so that there are no accidents.

This is a 12" fully poseable figure produced by Glitch Network based on my designs. The original blue and grey figure was dyed, painted and weathered to give it a post apocalyptic look.This will come with two panabas axes, one massive kanabo club and one sword along with swappable hands and extra foot pegs. It will also include the original packaging.

While the figure has been well sealed take care when inserting the weapons so that the paint does not wear off quickly. Her ears can come off to put the hood up or down.
