Despite being one of the busiest national passenger rail networks in Africa (and boasting the continent’s first high-speed rail line), Morocco’s ONCF doesn’t actually have a system map on its website, and the available PDF timetables are quite confusing and don’t show all stations. And I think that’s a shame, because the network is honestly quite cool!
So here’s my breakdown of the service patterns as of early 2022, which I put together by entering way too many station pairs into the website’s custom schedule finder. The Al Boraq high-speed service is shown in red, the Al Atlas national intercity network is shown in gray, and Casablanca’s TNR commuter rail system is shown in orange.
Considering ONCF can change their timetables at any time, I can’t guarantee this map’s accuracy, especially since I had to manually figure out each route’s stopping patterns. If any Moroccan folks on here have any corrections or can point me towards resources to more easily understand the system, my ask box is open!
EDITED 5 MARCH 2022 to include the two night trains! I’d been reluctant to include those at first, but I think it’s worth it for a full picture of the network.
