Iggychu, Pirate-Genie Roleplay.
You're now chatting with a random stranger. Say hi!
You and the stranger both like Hetalia.
Stranger: Yao walked quietly through the market place, fiddling with his pony tail absentmindly. It'd been a while sense the Jinn had been able to wander around freely, considering he'd been caught some twenty years ago and forced to serve the Saltan of the Ottomen Empire, but once again, the Chinese genie was free to do as he wished after his 'masters' passing. He was pretty confident no one would recognize the markings on his bicep marking him as a Jinn, so no one would come try to catch him as their own.
He paused by a cart of food. Snapping his fingers a couple gold coins appeared in his hand and he purchased an apple.
"Thank you." He said smiling.
You: ((What a way to start an RP))
Stranger: ((Thanks. xD I enjoy posting starters like this, you always find the best rp'ers this way. Haha~<3))
You: The merchant nodded, and pocketed the coins. Across the way, a strangely dressed blonde with the largest eyebrows perhaps in the entire world stood, browsing the wares. He was in this strange place following a rather interesting legend about wish granting. As a pirate, and human, he craved immortality, and all the riches of the world, and nothing was going to stand in his way. Directing his glittering emerald gaze into the sea of people around him, he searched intently for the prize he so longed for.
Stranger: Yao hummed lightly and flicked his long hair over his shoulder, and taking a bite of his apple, wandering away to look at the other fantastic items in the market place. He curled his fingers along a strand of hair, pausing by the blond haired man with out blinking an eye, touching a lamp marked 'Jinn' with a slight scoff. Like one of his kind would be confinded in such an item! His slender fingers flicked again and the thing disappeared. Smiling contently, he picked up a necklace and studied it.
"Pretty little trinket." He mumbled before taking a bit of his apple. Eyes catching the blond finally he paused. It wasn't often one spotted foreigners, even he got stares do to his pale skin.
"You're not from around here, aru." He said smiling.
You: The Englishman gave the other a charming smile, taking off his plumed hat in a polite greeting, "No I am afraid that I am not." He looked the entirety of Yao over, each wrinkle in clothing, every loose strand of hair. His flying green rabbit companion was nearly too excited to form words, squeaking in such a high pitch it almost hurt Arthur's ears. He knew too, that this lovely creature before him, was the treasure they sought, but the pirate did not wish to alarm the magical creature.
"I come from very far away, across the seas."
Arthur took the necklace from Yao, tossing a few gold coins of his own on the table. Slowly circling around the genie, he tied the necklace around Yao, fingertips ghosting along the small neck before him.
Stranger: Yao tilted his head, chocolate eyes curious as he saw the viel that seperated humans and magical creatures crinkle a bit. Though he could not see the rabbit, he could sense something was a round, but he paid little attention to it. Creatures were everywhere after all.
He smiled excitedly.
"Across the seas? Really? I've never had the pleasure of seaing whats across the water. Is it wonderful?" He asked, pausing when the man tied the necklace for him, cheeks heating a bit. "Thank you, ahen. Thats to kind of you sir..."
Stranger: ((Seeing** T ,T Too much sea-see's))
You: Releasing his hold, Arthur smiled, circling back around to Yao's front.
"It was my pleasure. A lovely thing such as yourself deserves lovely things."
Captain Kirkland was known widely for his silver-tongue, his ability to charm another was a thing he prided himself in.
"To find such a jewel in this filthy place is rare indeed, please. Allow me to entertain you for this evening."
He gave a short bow, sweeping his arm to emphasize his offer, his one glittering eye gleaming with nothing but good intentions.
Stranger: The Chinese Jinn raised an eyebrow at him, smiling softly. It'd been a while sense he'd heard such sweet words. The Saltan was a pretty demanding man, no such niceties were ever offered to him.
"You must have been alone on that ship a long time if your seeking my hand." He said, leaving his apple on the table so he could brush his hair back. Smiling at the human he let out a small laugh. "Wouldn't you rather one of the maids? A woman for your arm? Hm?"
It'd been to long sense he'd gotten to travel amongst humans, he feared his senses may have dulled. He knew there was an underlaying meaning to this mans kindness, but the once cunning Jinn was having troubles placing that mean. There was no way a foreigner would know what he was... right?
"What sort of entertainment do you mean to give me, dear sir from across the Sea's?" He asked playfully.
You: "I seek the hand of anything beautiful, and often I find women dull. One longs to have a sensible conversation every so often, and while a woman is pretty, she does not so often think of practical things."
His rabbit companion continued to squeak, circling around Arthur more and more, the pirate resisted the urge to shoot it so it would be silent. He had heard the legend from one of his concubines, who had died giving him a son. She had been of the orient, a treasure he took much pleasure in retrieving. He felt odd feelings stir in his chest at the thought of wooing such another eastern treasure as she had been, but he reminded himself that he was after immortality and riches, not such a silly thing as love.
"Well, perhaps we could dine? I am the captain of my own ship you see."
Stranger: Yao, smiled, seeming very appeased with the response. He'd half expected the man to gain a surprised look and inquire about his gender, but his response was twice as amusing.
"Who am I to deny such an offer?" He asked, sighing in mock defeat. "I'll will dine with you sir... I'm called Yao, may I have your name?"
You: Arthur straightened, extending an arm to the genie, still smiling.
"I am Arthur, Arthur Kirkland."
He had been a bit surprised to learn that Yao was a male, but magical creatures were strange beings, so it had not been much a shock.
Stranger: "Pleasure to meet you Arthur." Yao said dipping his head a bit, curling his arm under his and putting his hand on his forearm.
"So what brings you all the way into the deserts?" He asked curiously, the Jinn had always wanted to travel, but was stuck to where his masters had brought him.
You: The pirate hugged his arm to his chest, satisfied that he was holding Yao gently, but firmly, so as not to arouse suspicion, "The pleasure is all mine."
They walked along the sandy floor, heading for the docks which were not too far off. "I travel all around, looking for crops and such. Ancient treasure of the Spanish inquisition, lost relics of the Orients, and other such things are what I'd really love to be looking for, I hear so many stories about the,. However, I merely stopped here to restock my ship, we had a little run in with the Spanish Armada you see. The Captain and I do not exactly see eye to eye."
Stranger: Yao's chocolate eyes narrowed a bit. A treasure hunter was he? The young Jinn made mental note that he shouldn't let his eyes off him to much in his company.
He fell quiet hearing about the Spanish Armada, he guessed he meant Antonio Carriedo, a man that had often made visits with the Saltan. They hadn't seen eye to eye either, then again... no one really liked the Saltan.
"Was your ship damaged horribly? I heard the Spanish are ruthless in their conquests." Yao murmered, shaking his head.
You: Arthur grinned, a hint of malice and self-satisfaction creeping onto his face, "I should think his ship was damaged more than mine."
The battle had gone entirely in his favour, that Spanish dog had practically retreated with his tail between his legs. He assumed he would be back, because Arthur had taken prisoners, one being Antonio's favourite cabinboy. The loudmouth with worse cussing than all of his own men put together.
"I doubt he will trouble me again any time soon, he is probably in a dark cave somewhere licking his wounds."
Stranger: Yao shuddered at the sound in his voice. It truely terrified him sometimes how ruthless humans could be. The Jinn looked away tucking his hair behind his ear.
"One should never be to wary. Man find the greatest strength when trying to prove themselves. Most certainly in matters of pride and Heart." He warned, tone grave for a moment.
You: ((Okay I had to tell you. While typing this up, I accidentally typed, "This is my sheep." Just thought I'd let you know))
You: "I suppose, I shall be ready when he comes."
They reached a magnificent ship, the figure head carved to look like an angel, holding a harp to her chest. Arthur stopped for a moment, gesturing, "This is my ship."
Stranger: ((XD Its a lovely Sheep you have there.))
The Jinn paused, a smile lighting up the asian's face. It was glorious! Not at all like the boats he'd seen in his years.
"Its amazing Kirkland." He said smiling, moving closer to inspect it. "This is really yours?"
You: "Aye, every inch of her."
He placed a proud and loving hand on it, looking down when he was suddenly bombarded by a few shrieking blurs.
"For the love of god boys! I was gone for an hour!" Arthur scolded them. One was a stout lad of about nine with sandy blonde hair and a bandage across his nose. He was accompanied by two other boys, the blonde looking to be about six and a darkhaired boy no more than four. Arthur wanted to stay made, but to have three sets of happy green eyes, he melted, and ruffled each head. Scooping up the smallest he began shooing the other two aboard.
"Go on. Git. Bloody devils you are. Go find Alfred. Off with you." he commanded, scowling, and looked back to Yao, worried that he had vanished in a puff of smoke.
Stranger: Yao stared in wonder at the small boys, quiet obviously the man had a soft spot for them. A smile crossed his lips and he laughed softly at the display. Despite his tone, the boys were clearly unafraid of their 'captain'.
"You're a father I take it?" He asked tilting his head looking after the children fondly. Before he'd been captured the first time, he'd had younger siblings. He'd been the oldest Jinn of the family, so he knew they'd be scared when he went missing. He just prayed they'd taken care of each other.
"Little ones are such a blessing, aru." He laughed, touching the child on Arthurs hip cheek.
You: "Aye. I'm a ruddy father. Lot of good it does me. The older two's mum... well we didn't get along too well after the second one came around. Don't hear to much from her, so I can't leave them with her. And this one, well I'm all he's got. Lad's mum died. Say hullo Xiang."
Xiang leaned into Yao's touch, calmed by the magic radiating off of him, "Hao."
"No lad, Hullo. Not Hao." Arthur corrected.
".......Hao."
Stranger: "Ni Hao, Xiang." Yao said smiling, recognizing the word for hello in his own tongue. He could sense an aura off the boy. He was special. He could tell.
"He's precious.... I'm sorry to hear that, its hard losing a mother and a lover." He said softly. "Wèishéme bù gěi wǒmen yīgè wéixiào ma?"
He asked the boy for him to smile, stroking his cheek with one finger still. Yao loved kids, it was his biggest vice, and he knew it.
You: Arthur watched on, a little touched by such a reaction he was now getting from the genie. He almost offered the boy to Yao, but held back, having something the being wanted or liked was good, and he didn't want to risk loosing both, no matter how much he denied that his kids really didn't mean much to him.
Xiang looked puzzled for a moment, tilting his head and knitting his brows, wondering why the language sounded so familiar. It was calming, and brought back a feeling of warmth, and some kind of pounding, a heartbeat perhaps. He was never one to show emotion, but he did at this moment, not widely, but enough to be called a smile. Arthur looked on and would be lying if he said that he was not just even a little bit jealous of the way his son looked at Yao.
Stranger: Yao smiled warmly at Xiang, his eyes softening as he moved his hand to stroke over his hair.
"Theres a boy." He mumbled, a tad jealous of the boys father. He promised himself children some day, but not until he'd found a good place away from humans to care for a child. "You're ba-ba is lucky to have such a treasure like you."
He looked up at Arthur, a small laugh falling from his lips.
"You look startled. Have you never heard Madarin before?" He asked, tilting his head.
You: Xiang cooed, reaching for Yao, with one hand but clinging to Arthur with the other, wishing to be in two places at once.
Arthur shook his head a bit, "Oh no, I've heard it. I don't speak it. His mum did though, I think, that or something else. I didn't understand it." He was a little embarrassed that the jinn had caught him staring with something other than what he normally expressed.
"Was just a little surprised s'all. Come on, lets go aboard the ship."
He hoisted Xiang up so the lad was firmly on his chest, his little torso hanging over his fathers shoulder, round eyes peeking over at Yao hopefully.
Stranger: Yao laughed softly, taking the little boys hand in his and kissing it gently. He looked up at the ship warily, he'd just expected to stop by it before they went to eat like Arthur had proposed. The Jinn followed, keeping his facial expression happy for the boy watching him. Cooing sweet things at him in his native tongue.
He knew he'd have to avoid leaving the deck, if this man knew anything about Jinn, he'd be caught rather easily on his home base. He was playing with fire, the Jinn just didn't realize how hot of a flame.
You: Once on deck, Arthur looked around, thinking about his next step. They were on ship, but once Yao knew of his intentions, there was nothing stopping him from simply vanishing. He chewed on his lip, and wished he had studied more on the creature of magic he now somewhat possessed.
"Would you prefer we eat with myself or shall the lads dine with us."
He added the lads part because out of the corner of his eye he spotted his two other brats and Alfred too, peeking from the ramparts, grinning like the little devils they were.
Stranger: Looking away from the small child, Yao glanced around the deck.
"Either is fine with me... I enjoy the company of children, but I came here to spend some time getting to know you." Yao said with a smile. It'd be easier if the children weren't present, he would feel bad scaring the children if he needed to fight. Magic was suppose to astound children not scare them.
"Will we be eating out here on the deck?" He asked hopefully, when a Jinn was inside, it was easier to trap them.
You: "If that's what you'd prefer I suppose. Myself then. Say goodbye now Xiang, and go see if there's a treat for you from the cook. I hear he's got some delightful cream."
The tyke perked up at the prospect of cream, waving at Yao, he wriggled out of Arthur's arms and toddled off.
The pirate captain noticed the hopeful tone in Yao's voice, he must be weaker when surrounded by walls. An idea struck him, "Perhaps not outside, but if the light is what you seek then do not worry, I will not keep you from it."
He took Yao's hand, a reassuring smile on his face, and tugged the smaller male up the stairs and into an open door.
Stranger: "Xie-xie, Xaing." He chuckled his farewell after the little boy.
Yao smiled back at him, he was starting to feel uneasy. He followed him up the stairs after the blond, curling his slender fingers around the sailors.
"Whats special about here Arthur?" He asked curiously, eyeing the room as they reached the top of the stairs pausing at the door way for a brief moment before entering.
You: Arthur gestured to the far wall, which had windows as it's walls. Outside, the waves rolled endlessly, melting into the sky beyond.
"It's one of the best features she has. This is my favourite place on her."
The pirate released his hold on Yao's hand, strolling to the far wall and pressing a hand to the cool window, his eye half closing in relaxation. A desk covered with papers and a map on one of the walls suggested that this room was also Arthur study as well as a lavished dining room.
Stranger: Yao looked around the room with a soft smile, relaxing a bit as he looked out over the water. He moved a long the walls, touching his fingers to the glass.
"This ship continues to amaze me..." He admitted, looking at the man. "You must be a very proud man Arthur. So many treasures."
He side stepped a peice of iron, and looked at the papers on the desk curiously.
You: The desk was a mess, but the papers were clear enough. Some were letters, other's were maps, and then there were a few papers scrawled in an entirely different language. A language of /magic/
Sighing, Arthur strode from the window and to the doorway, closing it, keeping his back turned from Yao.
Stranger: Yao's eyes fluttered a bit when the door shut, visibly flinching as he was closed in. Being in a closed room limited a Jinns abilities.
Blinking as he collected himself, he looked over the papers, picking them up and translating them. A bitter smile working his lips.
"I knew you were to nice." He mumbled to himself.
You: "My sincerest apologies Yao. But I have been searching for you for a very long time. A genie is no easy thing to find you know."
He turned away from the door, smiling as ever.
"I do hope the legends about you are true, because I have great plans for you and I."
Stranger: "Oh no apologizies needed, you're only the third- wait... no... the Fourth man to trick me like this. One grows accustom to it." He said sweetly, chocolate eyes conveying anger.
"But I'm guessing you don't know exactly how to fullfill these plans now do you?" He asked, lifting himself up onto the mans desk, crossing his legs neatly.
You: "Trick is such a filthy word, would you have preferred I dragged you by your lovely hair and beat you into submission?"
He drew his sword as a precaution, holding it to his side and slowly approaching the seated genie.
"I can honestly say I don't know, but I have you cornered, and that is the first step. Care to enlighten me on what to do next?"
Stranger: "If you had done such a thing I would have turned you into one of the many cats that wander these roads. There where would those sweet boys be? This city is unkind to orphans you know." Yao said eyeing the sword, for a moment.
"Why would I tell you such a thing?" He asked, scowling. "You don't really seem to have the means anyway."
To bind a Jinn, he'd need a marking tool, such as a necklace or a bracelet, as well as the proper binding spell. The Saltan had the audocity to use a collar on the Jinn.
Stranger: ((o.o; -facepalms- I forgot Arthur gave him that necklace. xD One step closer much... Anyway ignore my derpy ness...))
You: ((AHAHAHAHA *EVIL LAUGH* I WAS ABOUT TO SAY))
You: "The crew would have taken good care of them, and I am not without magic of my own."
To prove his point, he slid his eyepatch up, opening his other eye. It was pink instead of green, and a glowing white pentagram shone with an eerie power.
Arthur got closer, his free hand moving to tilt Yao's head up, hs friendly smile turning into a smirk, "Well that's not nice Yao. But if I recall the storied correctly.... there must be something binding the Jinn to it's master."
His hand trailed down the Asian's pale neck, stopping at the pendant he had bought.
Stranger: The Jinn gave a startled look to him upon seeing the males eye. He backed up further onto the desk, breath catching slightly. He cursed his years with that damn Saltan, they'd made him a fool.
"The necklace... you knew from the start!" He accused, frustrated. He swatted at the mans hands. "Móguǐ..."
He hissed cursing the man in his own tongue.
"You're only holding me here with this, I am not yet yours." He said stubbornly.
You: Arthur frowned a bit at his hand being smacked away, but did not do anything else.
"Puzzling, how do I make you mine then? Surely the necklace is enough for a contract, I demand you grant my wishes."
Stranger: Yao flinched at his words. They were almost strong enough to be a binding spell.
"How about we make a deal?" He asked quickly. "I'll grant you one wish. Then you let me go."
You: "One wish? But I was led to believe you granted as many as the master desired... if not three. One wish is certainly not enough to give me everything I desire."
Arthur paced, cursing himself for not asking the woman more about genies before he began chasing this legend. He had no express desire to keep Yao forever, knowing full well that it was cruel to imprison magical beings, but he wanted his wished.
Stranger: "Yes, but in order to get such a limit on wishes, you'd need to have to be my master, which you are not." Yao explained, trying to sound diplomatic, he was in deep water. Arthur needed to only order him into servtude at this point with conviction and proper phrasing, he was on a thin wire with no balance, that was for sure.
You: Arthur stopped, grinning, "Alright. If you'll grant me a wish. Can this be any wish I want?"
He approached Yao, halting right in front of the other, arms crossed behind his back, both eyes glinting micheviously.
Stranger: Yao eye'd him a shivering slightly.
"So long as it brings no death upon another human, or life from one of the dead... yes." Yao concided, his chocolate eyes narrowing in suspicion. "You may wish for what ever you like."
You: His grin widening, he straightened, "Then I wish that I am your master."
Stranger: Yao's jaw went slack, startled by mans wish. He'd thought he'd wish for the powers himself or something!
The necklace tightened around his neck, a copy appearing around Arthurs to signal the contract. A gust of wind swirling around them both.
"B-bastard!" He hissed.
You: "You have to admit that was rather clever!" The pirate almost giggled, it he didn't expect Yao to be tricked like that. Looking down, Arthur eyed the necklace around his neck with a raised eyebrow, continuing his smirk.
"Fascinating. Now please, explain the terms of how this is to work if you would. I would like my wishes and then you can be on your way."
Stranger: "Oh yes, very clever... like a snake." The chinese Jinn grumbled, pouting childishly.
"I'm bound to you until such time as you release me. I can grant you a wish once every day, though I can use my magic to defend or serve you in small ways how ever you order me to. If you remove this necklace around my neck our contract is void."
He said touching the one on Arthurs neck, then his. "This can not come off until you remove it for me. You'res is just a formality."
You: "Interesting... Most interesting."
It was foolish of him to ask but he felt the need to ask anyway.
"I suppose that rule about wishing people dead or back alive qualifies as restrictions on my wishes still?"
He asked, nonchalantly picking at his nails, trying to appear as if he didn't care what Yao's answer would be.
Stranger: "Yes, I am not allowed to fool with Life and Death. If I take or give life, mine is the price paid for either." He said looking out the window, wrapping a length of hair around his fist.
You: "I suppose that makes sense...."
Arthur turned Yao to face him, "I am truly sorry for keeping you here, but it will not be permanent. I hold none of my magical creatures captive, they are my friends, and I treat them as such. You will not be chained down, or force to be at my side constantly. You understand this yes?"
He brought his eyepatch back down, his gaze sincere.
Stranger: Yao gave him an uncertain look. He had no reason to trust him. Trusting him had him currently bound to the man. The Jinn sighed and shook his head.
"How many wishes do you have exactly?" He asked curiously. "How do I know you won't find something more you desire?"
You: "Well I am certainly guessing Immortality is out of the question, since it involves living and dying. But I'd love to be rich, so I can retire this nasty pirating and send my boys off to get a proper education. I'd also love if my ship were unsinkable, just as an extra precaution. She's already the fastest out there."
Arthur went silent for a moment, "There is one more, but I think that will have to come later. Doesn't sound too bad now does it Yao?"
You: (Because you are awesome, and this was awesome. I wish to trade tumblrs pr something)
Stranger: ((XD I have MSN, a China facebook and email. Does that work??))
Stranger: ((Alright. xD Sounds good to me! Do you want to continue or do you have to go?))
You: (I just might fall alseep)
Stranger: ((Its okay, I understand!))
Stranger: Yao did not respond to the immortality comment. It could be done, just not with regular magic from the Jinn a lone, but he wasn't about to make that announcement.
"Those all sound reasonable, I guess, aru..." He said tucking his hair behind his ear again. "So tomorrow, I'll grant the first of your wishes... Will we be staying here, aru?"
You: "If that's what you want, you can stay anywhere you'd like to on this ship."
Arthur took a few steps back, "We are setting sail though, you do not mind leaving this place behind yes? I can take you somewhere where there is no scorching sun or people to hunt you. Such places exist you know."
He strode to the map, looking at it thoughtfully.
Stranger: "There are?" He asked giving him a disbelieving look. "Do you mean where you come from? I wanted to ask what it was like there to be honest."
Yao scooted himself off the desk. He noted that staying might not be that bad, he'd get to travel and leave the cursed desert. Also Arthur had 3 small boys he could play with and indulge his mothering habit.
You: The captain nodded, steadying himself as the ship heaved, signalling they had left port and were now on the sea.
"Indeed. But not where I come from. My magic is not genetic."
He elaborated no more, but instead changed the subject.
"There is a magical island, that floats above the water. Only those with magic can see it. There are sirens there, and winged horses, and dragons."
He sounded wistful, "It's the most marvelous place in the world."
Stranger: When the ship moved unexpectedly, the Jinn stumbled, catching himself some what gracefully on the desk, eyes wide as he steadied himself with the help of the furniture. They were already headed out? Even more note on how prepared the man had been for his capture.
"An island with all that? How do you know of such a place?" He asked, curiously. "Have you been there?"
You: "I have been there one time, and I took something, I was young and foolish. I payed for taking it dearly. So I have been assisting all sorts of magical creatures to get there as repentance. It was on that island I learned about genies, and their magical powers. So I began searching for you."
Arthur pushed himself away from the wall and went to the door, opening it.
"But enough talk, let us go out and enjoy what little sunlight remains before the moon and stars creep their way into the sky."
Stranger: "You are a very strange human, have you ever been told that?" Yao asked, raising a thin eyebrow at him, following him out onto the ship. He looked at the ship hands in slight amusement, they all worked so diligently. Hard for him to put the term 'pirate' to these men.
You: "Strange indeed."
He leaned on the railings, looking down with a scowl his oldest boy, waiting for the lad to realise he was being watched. Kyle took no immediate notice, and continued to walk all over where the deckhand has just cleaned, grinning and snorting like a fool. He slowly trekked his way unti a loud throat-clearing caught his attention, and Arthur was glaring down at him.
".....BEN DID IT."
Arthur raised an eyebrow, "Kyle. Get a mop. You can re-swab the deck since you're so keen to keep it dirty."
"But faaaaather..."
"Now you git, before I make you sleep in the crow's next tonight!"
Kyle gave no further protests, scurrying off to find a mop. Arthur groaned, "One's a handful but three, I'm at my wits end...."
Stranger: Yao covered his mouth, snickering at the man. He watched Kyle scurry off and looked at Arthur with a sympathic look.
"I know your pain, I was the second oldest of 5 others. Its a pain." He said clapping the pirate on the shoulder. "You seem to be doing a good job though."
He briefly wondered what sort of magic he could weave. Would the crew react poorly to it?
You: "Five? Auch that's a horrid number. I had two older brothers and a wee sister. I like girls, girls aren't so bad. But I got stuck with three lads... Thank you though. I try my best. It's all I can take to take to not throw Kyle overboard and gag Ben so he'll stop crying. Xiang's alright. Reminds me of his mum. Real quiet, and watching everything, kind of like he's in his own world."
He watched his first mate set the correct course, and checked to see if all the sails were own correctly. Satisfied that all was in order he turned to Yao, "I believe I owe you dinner yes?"
Stranger: Yao smiled and shook his head a bit. He'd try to be of some help during his stay, seeing as it'd be atleast a week long judging by the mans wishes as well as how ever long it took to get to the world Arthur spoke off.
"I guess you do... I'd forgotten." Yao admitted, pushing away from the rails. "Do you need help preparing it?"
You: Arthur winced, "Ah.... People are not too fond of my cooking. A... 'friend' of mine is making it, though I rather we not go and see him... He's a bit of a prude to be quite honest. Is there anywhere you'd like to dine specifically?"
He looked to Yao kindly, the charming mile from earlier returning.
Stranger: Yao felt his own smile return, blinking quickly as he looked away. Nope, he was going to be mad at him for a while longer. Smile be damned.
"So you and the cook have a tense work relationship then? Probably not the best of the crew members to have at a distance, what with them handling your food and all." He teased lightly. "And eating anywhere is fine. I'm honestly not that picky. My last 'master' was not as nice as you. I'll say that much."
You: Arthur laughed a bit, glad that the genie was not as mad as before.
"It's not that we don't care for each other, we just had a disagreement about a rather obnoxious man once. His food is delicious, I'll give him that. So I say we dine out on top here, candlelight and the moon as company. We can trade secrets over a bottle of fine wine."
Stranger: Yao nodded his agreement, looking at Arthur in curiousity.
"What sort of disagreement? Were you two after the same lover or something, aru?" He asked, moving to stand beside him.
You: Arthur shook his head, "I sort of think that they had something going on, but I was made to take sides you see. I sided with the cook, but then I kind of left him because I really only wanted to beat of the other guy's friend....."
He scratched behind his neck sheepishly, "Bad move on my part..."
Stranger: "Hn... at least you recognize it as a bad move." Yao said shaking his head.
"Time heals though, I'm certain if you feel that it was wrong enough, you could apologize for it later on." Yao suggested with a small shrug.
He looked up at the sky, enjoying the cool breeze of the sea. Much better than the blazing desert in his opinion.
You: "To error is to be human."
"I am not a man that makes apologies that he does not mean. Beating up Francis is worth any consequence," he laughed grinning, "That Frenchy is just too much of a pansy for me not to want to smash his face in!"
The sun was setting on the horizon, sinking away farther into the water as they sailed on, stars slowly emerging, their twinkling glowing brighter every minute.
Stranger: "Thats why I used the word /if/ in that last statement."
Yao said crossing his arms over the rails, looking up at the stars, picking out the ones he recognized. Closing his eyes the Jinn enjoyed the moment. Not only was he freed from the bastard this morning, he was on his way to some where new. Maybe he'd trusted Arthur so readily for a reason?
"Why do I get the feeling you have a very violent secret self Arthur?" He asked smirking at him. "You sound like you take to much pleasure in fighting this man, aru."
You: "I do in act have a violent side. I use it for Francis and anyone who dares lay a hand on someone I care about. Other than that, he's a sweet little devil, locked away tight inside my ey-Ah me."
Arthur had to catch himself on that one, casually passing it off as a slip of the tongue.
