Ella felt her eyes going cross-eyed for what seemed like the millionth time that day. She had so much paperwork to fill out that she had been putting off and putting off. She couldn’t avoid it any longer after August had ripped into her for not turning in any reports for a while.

She didn’t jump when she felt Omen’s warm hands rest gently on her shoulders nor when his tail wrapped softly around her waist. She leaned back in her chair, blinking her tired grey eyes up at him with a slight smile. He bent down slightly, pressing a gentle kiss to the top of her caramel colored hair.

“You need rest.” He mumbled, holding her in his warm arms. She sent a tired glance at her unfinished work then back to him. She slowly stood from her chair, leaning into him once she was on her feet.
